Primary Duties and Responsibilities of Position:
Lead the logistics organization and drive value by reducing logistics costs, improving efficiencies, and establishing a platform of continuous business performance improvements in Dana's supply chain
Manage external transportation partners to ensure operational effectiveness and corporate compliance
Manage external Lead Logistics Provider (LLP) and work together to drive cost improvement and efficiencies in the transportation network
Transparently and accurately collect, aggregate, analyze and report logistics cost and performance information to senior leadership and operations leadership (cross-BU, globally)
Work cross-functionally to further reduce logistics costs through premium avoidance, spot buy avoidance, cube/weight utilization improvements, planned truck utilization improvements, etc.
Work with trade compliance, tax, legal, and external parties to ensure adherence to regulations and maintenance of key trade certifications
Analysis of carrier metrics and conduct performance reviews as required.
Facilitate logistics cost savings workshops
Manage the development and/or renewal of LLP contracts to ensure alignment to Dana's requirements
Review and approve carrier contracts and spot buys while ensuring they accurately reflect Dana's terms and conditions
Mange the development and/or renewal of global ocean bids contracts with freight forwarders to align with Dana's requirements
Lead cross-business unit efforts to minimize on the road logistics expenses outside of NA
Work with all Business Units to collect logistics costs for detailed analysis
Lead efforts to identify cost reduction opportunities via cross-BU logistics spend consolidation and utilization improvements in the EU (first region)
Work with Global director to pilot common TMS solution and develop roll-out plans post pilot
Drive efforts to develop and implement common logistics best practices, processes, and standards cross-BU

Minimum Qualifications of Position:
Bachelor Degree required, Master's preferred. Specialization in supply chain management/logistics preferred.
7+ years progressive leadership experience. Experience within multi-site global environments preferred
Deep experience with managing LLP/3PL partners and managing/optimizing logistics networks
Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and cost reductions efforts in logistics
Familiarity with business systems and analytic systems, including TMS and logistics optimization tools
Committed to tasks and skilled at identifying and solving a variety of problems of broad scope and complexity with little to no supervision.
Must be detail oriented, proactive in anticipating requirements and able to work efficiently with minimal direction
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and must be capable of professionally interacting with an international customer/supplier base.
Skilled in composing written correspondence and preparing presentations for senior management.
Successfully interacts with a dispersed leadership team and others across functions and sites.
Must be proactive, detail oriented and have excellent organization, planning and follow-through skills.
Must have ability to work with statistical analyses and possess financial acumen
Must be able to work flexible hours and be willing to travel to Dana/supplier facilities as required to resolve issues
