Bell is seeking a Senior Liaison/Material Review Board Engineer to support our manufacturing operations at our Fort Worth, Texas location.
Bell is seeking a self-motivated Airframe Liaison Engineer to join Bell's Airframe Engineering Team. They will work closely with engineering support groups, including airframe design, airframe stress, material & processes, and fatigue along with the production area supervisors and managers to support the evaluation of nonconforming product and the execution of repairs per MRB policies and procedures.
Assure compliance to Design requirements, including customer specifications, military standards and Bell policies and procedures. The candidate will participate in root cause corrective action teams in the factory and with suppliers as required to reduce recurring defects.
The candidate will become a Bell MRB board member and be certified to disposition non-conforming airframe parts (composite, metallic, bonded panels, welded, castings, forgings and other supporting components) including the design of original repairs (example: doublers/angles/bushing/sleeves, etc.) based on fit/form/function at the next assembly and structural integrity.
They will develop timely and cost-effective engineering dispositions for nonconforming components and assemblies that do not meet design requirements thru the approved MRB process.
This responsibility also includes non-conformances encountered during production manufacturing and assembly. The candidate will also become a member of the Planning Review Board and be responsible for reviewing and approving fabrication planning as well as providing dispositions for items that are designated as Controlled Items (Primary, Critical, & Flight Safety Parts).
Additional responsibilities include providing Engineering cross-function support, design interpretation to manufacturing/production teams and supporting new/existing program development/improvements.
As a member of the MRB, signoff as the engineering authority on dispositions, including Repair (RPR) and Use As Is (UAI) for all nonconformance activity.
Facilitate communication between other Engineering disciplines, Quality, Materials, Manufacturing and Suppliers relative to repairs schemes and engineering-related production problems.
Support the development, maintenance and compliance to Bell Policies & Procedures related to MRB activity.
Ability to work with various manufacturing, procurement, quality and design personnel, and support a diverse manufacturing/assembly and/or Flight test environment.
Support Root Cause/Corrective Action activity, including the investigation of defective, damaged, non-conforming or malfunctioning parts, assemblies, systems or equipment to determine cause of the problem and prevention from recurrence.
Support the BELL ENOVIA Issue, Engineering Change (ECR / ECO), and Variance (VAR/LPV) processes.

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
At least 8 years of Liaison Engineering experience
A high level of proficiency with CAD digital product definition (DPD) data.
Proficiency with basic office computer software, specifically the Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Must have working knowledgeable of GD&T.
Support off-site program tasks as required.
Experience related to structural analysis
Experience with the execution of liaison engineering activity using CAMS/Visiprise and SAP.
Familiarity with CATIA v6, CATIA v4, Unigraphics and digital product definition (DPD).
Experience working in an aerospace environment, focused on aircraft structure such as longerons, stringers, frames, skins, formers, ribs etc.
Experience working in a precision manufacturing environment, focused on composite manufacturing processes such as automatic tape laying, fiber placement, hand lay-up, compression molding, secondary bonding, and co-bonding of carbon/epoxy & carbon/BMI laminates and bonded assemblies.
Experience working in a precision manufacturing environment, focused on metallic manufacturing processes such as metal machining, sheet metal fabrication, forgings, casting, heat treatments, welding, chemical processing and other specialized processes.
Hands-on maintenance experience on any aviation platform.
