Job summary

Amazon is searching for a smart, experienced, and motivated individual who can lead its Law Enforcement Response (LER) team. The LER team consists of a dedicated group of specialists who are responsible for responding to law enforcement requests received from government agencies globally. Amazon is seeking an exceptionally talented leader who will help guide and manage this critical function as the company continues to grow and scale around the world.

The manager's principal duty will be to make sure that requests are processed professionally and expeditiously, all while ensuring the privacy and security of business and customer information in accordance with the law and with Amazon's various policies and procedures. This will require great judgment and substantial experience dealing with challenging and ambiguous situations. The role will also involve building upon existing functions and ensuring maximum operational efficiency and consistency. Because the LER team is global in scope, the manager must be able to interface effectively with Amazon employees and law enforcement personnel located in other countries.

This position will likely require eventual relocation to Europe.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent

  • Previous experience leading and/or managing others

  • Previous experience with making and/or responding to law enforcement requests

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Written and/or verbal proficiency in one or more of the following languages: German, French, Italian, and/or Spanish

  • Willing to relocate (i.e. Europe)

  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations

  • Ability to work and to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment with high-volume workflows

  • Strong analytical and computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office Professional Suite, including Excel

  • Excellent ability to build strong relationships with internal and external clients and customers

  • Strong coaching skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues

  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to work independently, and manage multiple projects at once

  • Excellent verbal and written

  • Strong common sense

The Critical Response Team (CRT) within SRT delivers the highest tier of support at Twitter by managing the most challenging escalations and crises faced by the company today. The team is globally distributed and maintains 24/7coverage. As Senior Manager for CRT you will lead a team of incident managers who handle a variety of issues impacting platform health - ranging from account integrity to abusive content and interactions, to misinformation. The issues may be sensitive, emerging, or ambiguous, but they require a keen ability to tactically and strategically resolve. You will be a manager of managers leading regional managers across three distinct regions that enable us to provide WW coverage and address the nuance of our globally-focused work. You will also work closely with internal partners to plan and execute on global initiatives.</p><p>What You'll Do</p><ul><li><p>Lead the daily support operations and global escalations workforce.</p></li><li><p>Serve as the POC for crises that arise and the full resolution end-to-end supporting our customers on the platform.</p></li><li><p>Serve as the final escalation point for high-profile incidents and user issues, and work creatively with your team and other stakeholders to resolve them. You will learn from past incidents and mitigate future ones.</p></li><li><p>Drive continuous improvement and deliver against all operational KPIs.</p></li><li><p>Remove barriers to success for a high-performing global team by ensuring growth and learning opportunities are created and taken advantage of by your team.
