Positions in this function provide assistance and support to the legal staff by gathering information, researching the law, preparing opinions and legal documents, resolving disputes, and managing outside counsel. Researches statutes, regulations, and court decisions and prepares summaries of finding for attorneys. Coordinates with internal partners and customers regarding disputes. Reviews pleadings, filings, discovery, and settlement agreements. May represent the company at arbitration hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, depositions, and small claims proceedings, as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a corporate paralegal or equivalent experience (litigation experience preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat (form use and creation)
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination prior to employment to ensure compliance

Connecticut Residents Only: The salary range for Nevada residents is $71,400 to $127,400.
