Primary Purpose of the Position:

This position will facilitate impactful learning which delivers consistent business value and develops employees to reach their professional goals. The role manages learning programs end to end ensuring the learning experience efficiently meets the objectives and firm strategy. The incumbent will receive direction from Practice Lead and Program Managers regarding upcoming learning deliveries. The position partners with manager to ensure cross training and certifications are up to date and will partner and provide input to design team on the learner needs and business priorities.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Career Development and Program Management: Manage and execute programs supporting talent initiatives. Partner across HR and with other business units throughout the talent lifecycle to strategize, build and implement solutions which may include career systems and paths, performance management tools, individual development planning, and succession planning. Define and measure program performance metrics relative to defined current and future talent needs of the various business units.

  • Project Management: Manage large scope projects with direct accountability for project deliverables, and in coordinating and compiling the work of others (e.g., internal resources and/or external vendors).

  • Consulting: Consult and bring innovative talent development strategies that help the business attain results and build pipeline candidates.

  • Facilitation: Support formal and informal learning facilitation, including use of technology and social platforms, to reach and engage a global audience.

  • Operational Excellence: Maintain a productive working relationship across HR teams and with other business units to ensure alignment and well-coordinated, efficient, strategic and measurable program execution.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required and Master's degree preferable (Human Resources Development); 6+ years of experience in a similar role with a similar scope, particularly as it relates to career development, internal program and project coordination, and program management and measurement

Knowledge and skills

  • Strong Project and Program Management experience

  • Communication skills - ability to interact and influence at all levels as well as ability to interact with a geographically diverse team

  • Instructional design and development methodologies, theories and practices

  • Training evaluation and assessment

Experience

  • Previous experience designing and developing talent solutions to address business needs

  • Experience in competency modeling and management

  • Strong client relationship management experience

  • Ability to provide coaching and consultation to business clients as well as HR partners

Job experience

  • 6+ years experience in a related field

  • Required experience:

  • Developing competency models and career pathing

  • Project management

  • Defining and measuring project and performance metrics

We are seeking an AEC Learning Content Developer to work for the learning content development team of ASCENT. The position is responsible for developing and maintaining learning content focused on the Autodesk AEC (Architecture, Engineering and Construction) design software tools. The content is utilized for both web-based and instructor-led training. The successful candidate will have a post-secondary degree in an engineering or architectural discipline, or strong technical knowledge and engineering/architectural technology experience. As an AEC Learning Content Developer, you will create impact by: * Creating new learning content for print and eLearning products offered for global sales * Updating ASCENT's existing learning content to encompass new and enhanced functionality in current releases of the software tools * Creating client-specific custom learning content * Supporting our sales teams by fielding technical questions related to the learning content * Supporting our sales teams with assessments of client learning needs and proposal creation * Creating blog posts showcasing your breadth of knowledge and the capabilities of our team * Leading webcasts to clients that showcase that demonstrate the quality and effectiveness of our learning content About You * Minimum 2 years of experience using the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction software products from Autodesk, including but not limited to Autodesk Revit, Advance Steel, BIM 360, AutoCAD etc. * Technical documentation experience, such as developing learning content or course curriculum is essential * Strong English verbal and written communication skills are essential * Experience coaching or teaching others is preferred Other requirements to be successful in the role: * Strong organizational, problem solving, and time management skills * Detail-oriented self-starter, with the ability to stay focused on tasks, manage projects and meet deadlines * Team player, with the ability to collaborate across the organization * Very strong interpersonal skills with a sincere desire to make a difference for our customers * Public speaking skills or similar experience What's in it for you? * The opportunity to be part of a company where you'll never get bored in our fast-paced, constantly evolving and challenging environment with great benefits, including matching RRSP and a fun work environment with a business casual dress code.
