Salary Range: $31.84-$36.22

Summary of Duties: Under the direct supervision of the office/phlebotomy supervisor as a Senior Lab Assistant directing, teaching, trouble shooting and participating in the day to day operations, knowledge of policies, procedures and lab equipment.

Educational Requirements:
High School diploma required.

Current Phlebotomy license. Courses in medical terminology or medical assisting desired.


Licensure/Certification

Requirements:
Current CA Phlebotomy Technician certification required.

Experience Requirements:
Six (6) months of blood collection techniques.

Two (2) years hospital phlebotomy experience including pediatric and elderly populations. Clerical and hospital experience desired. Experience in a leadership role.

Special Skills or Abilities: Computer skills, and be able to use Microsoft Office including Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook (email equivalent), and the ability to handle Laboratory Information System (LIS). Communication and proven guest relation skills required. Detail oriented and ability to effectively communicate with staff, patients, and physicians.
