Summary of Objective:

Design, write, program, analyze, implement and trouble shoot a wide variety of global enterprise systems, with a primary focus on the JDE (J.D. Edwards) ERP software system. Provides software development, programming, configuration, setup, business application and technical support for the company's global enterprise systems and solutions, with a primary focus on JDE (J.D. Edwards) Enterprise One Platform. Serves in a wide variety of technical and functional roles including, but not limited to programmer, developer, systems analyst, business analyst, IT-Business liaison, JDE SME (Subject Matter Expert).

Works within the Global IT Team to insure high quality -- high availability systems and solutions are maintained across the global landscape and platforms. This includes but not limited to: ERP Systems (JDE), Middleware, Software / Data Communications, Reporting, Barcoding Solutions, ASRS (Automated Storage Recovery Systems), Databases, EDI, and connected sub-systems. Performs work under the guiding principles of cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices), Change Management guidelines and SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) best practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The essential duties and responsibilities include the following but other duties may be assigned.

  • Write / Create / Modify / Maintain / Support applications with applicable JDE development tools -- JDE E1 OMW (Object Management Workbench).

  • Research / Diagnose / Fix / Repair issues and software bugs within custom applications.

  • Troubleshoot technical issues and challenges within Global Enterprise Systems.

  • Design and test new business practices in JDE and other enterprise systems.

  • Organize system implementation projects -- perform project management functions as needed.

  • Facilitate process mapping exercises.

  • Lead application design and training sessions.

  • Educate end-users on change specifications and JDE workflows / processes.

  • Write / Create / Modify / Maintain / Support program interfaces and connections between systems.

  • Support and Maintain EDI systems as needed to communicate with ERP systems.

  • Support PCI's system validation and change management process.

  • Write / Create / Modify / Maintain appropriate documentation, diagrams, and flowcharts.

  • Communicate with vendors on trouble tickets and escalations.

  • Accept & Troubleshoot assigned help desk tickets.

  • Partner with business end-users on JAD (Joint Application Development) and UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and Production post go-live support.

  • Provide technical assistance as needed and wherever possible within the IT Department.

  • Knowledge of SDLC best practices (Software Development Life Cycle)

  • Setup of appropriate testing environments and data modeling.

  • Training of end-users as needed and appropriate.

  • This position may require overtime and/or weekend work.

  • Ability to work non-standard business hours (evenings / weekends) on occasion and off-hours support.

  • Knowledge of and adherence to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, rules.

  • Attendance to work is an essential function of this position

  • Performs other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field and/or 5-10 years related experience and/or training.

  • College Level Mathematical Skills

  • Advanced Computer Skills:
    Ability to perform the most complex computer tasks and operate various computer programs.

  • Full Professional Proficiency: Ability to speak, read, and write fluently and accurately on all levels pertinent to professional needs.

  • Very High Reasoning: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Be able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in math or diagram form and deal with several abstract/concrete variables.

  • High Standard of Report Writing

This professional position requires experience with multiple functional areas of the JDEdwards ERP system. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
