Sr. Java Developer REMOTEDirect-Hire / Full -TimeSalary: $150,000 baseSummary:The Sr. Java Developer will work within a test-driven development team to develop cloud-based designs which are scalable and extensible. The primary focus of this position is to develop support for emerging next generation technologies in the healthcare stop-loss reinsurance market.Our client is a cloud-based software provider developed to connect every critical business process for the Healthcare Reinsurance Industry. They utilize Blockchain initiatives and Smart Contracts to deliver a completely automated solution for Quote to Contract transformation and claims administration. They are dedicated to improving the overall workflow and timelines associated with quoting, contracting, accounting and claims settlement for TPA's, Brokers , Carriers and MGU's.Responsibilities:

Full stack development from web front end through the Java based back end.
Develop using Java, JavaScript (Angular, Typescript, Material), Elastic Search, and Postgres
Code using a test-driven development process to ensure high quality software
Troubleshoot application and quickly solve production issues in a 24X7 SaaS environment
Create RESTful APIs for integration with other line of business applications
Work within Bitbucket and Git to deliver high quality software
Work with rest of the development team to build rapid prototypes in a continuous delivery environment

Requirements:

3+ years of object-oriented software development experience using Java
Extremely strong coding skills, including an understanding of optimization, performance ramifications of coding decisions and object-oriented design
Outstanding problem-solving skills and the ability to pick apart software, analyze it and become a subject matter expert on it

The Cboe NOC is a multi-tiered, customer-focused, highly skilled network support team responsible for engineering, implementing and maintaining edge routing infrastructure for all trading platforms. The NOC bridges the knowledge gap between Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, and Trade Desk. This role is responsible for providing first level world class support in conjunction with solving problems, monitoring Cboe's global network infrastructure, ensuring network devices maintain a healthy state, and troubleshooting when they are not. Engineers will work closely with customer Network Engineers and Data Center Technicians to implement connectivity solutions and troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues. A Sr. Engineer must be able to work independently with little to no direct supervision in performing their duties.Major Job DutiesAct as an escalation point and role model for all NOC personnel. Regularly meet with NOC leadership and other Sr. Engineers to shape team direction. Develop and implement long term strategies and provide project management expertise for the team.
