Responsibilities

The Role…

Reporting to the Sr. IT Manager, the IT Technical Support Engineer is accountable for the design, implementation, and support of the Premier Nutrition infrastructure including the network, and O365 environment. The Senior IT Operations Engineer will have direct Interface with the multiple Premier Nutrition business units, customers, and vendors to provide services and support for the IT infrastructure. Must understand and recommend infrastructure architecture and have an ability to manage, troubleshoot, deploy, and secure Premier Nutrition IT operations.

This includes SaaS management of various prominent cloud platforms and administration of the Premier Nutrition desktop environment. The right candidate will have a proven track record in cloud administration, desktop troubleshooting, system issue remediation, and IT security administration.

The position will be based out of our 60,000 sq. foot, modern Emeryville, California office. WE ARE A CULTURE OF PERSONAL CONNECTON, WHICH IS WHY WE'VE CHOSEN A PERMANENT HYBRID WORK ENVIRONMENT WITH NORMS THAT EQUATE TO 2-3 DAYS MID-WEEK IN THE OFFICE FOR EMPLOYEES BASED IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA. The expected pay scale this role is $95k to $105k, which may vary based on relevant experience, qualifications, geographic area (if applicable), and internal equity for the role.

Administration, Support and Maintenance of Enterprise Infrastructure: 40% of Time

• Act as a point of escalation for complex technical issues related to Office365, Azure, ServiceNow, and network systems.

• Administer and configure Office365 and Azure environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. This includes managing user accounts, permissions, licenses, and troubleshooting any technical issues.

• Maintain and optimize the organization's network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs. Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and implement security measures to safeguard against cyber threats.

• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations as needed.

• Load and configure approved client software on end-user devices as necessary to support access to services and use of peripherals.

• Perform workstation setup - monitor and maintain continuity with system software licensing and maintenance agreements.

• Maintain workstations, laptops, associated multi-function devices, printers, phones, and conference room communications equipment.

• Monitor existing security tools and processes for anomalies and generate appropriate alerts when these anomalies are detected.

• Utilize ServiceNow as a platform for IT service.

• Participate in Incident Response investigations and related remediation efforts.

• Formulate verbal or written reports describing the reported problems or issues, their resolution, and the impact, if any, of the resolution to the management teams.

• Aid the Security Team in implementation of operational and security controls in accordance with NIST and SOC2 frameworks.

Projects: 30% of Time

• Assist with Data consolidation efforts to reduce disparate data storage

• Determine the methods, instrumentation, training, documentation, and processes for implementing new technologies.

• Perform SSO and SAML integrations.

• Implement automation using Robotic Process Automation, MS Flow, and other tools.

Continuous Improvement: 15% of Time

• Improve our employee on-boarding process to enable remote working.

• Improve collaboration platforms including MS Teams, SharePoint, Zoom, Service Now and others.

• Participate in reviews and audits of various security controls.

• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IT operations.

• Partner with Security to improve the existing vulnerability management reporting system.

Qualifications

What are we looking for?

Education:

• Bachelor's degree required in any field or equivalent years of industry experience.

Experience:

• 5+ years relevant IT experience

• Proficiency in administering and troubleshooting Office365 applications (e.g., Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, etc.) and Azure services (e.g., Virtual Machines, Azure Active Directory, etc.).

• Knowledgeable in TCP/IP configurations, network addressing, and IP address management.

• 2+ years SaaS environment support

• Skilled with system management tools such as Intune.

• A history of working with Service Now & Incident management.

• Knowledge of incident and problem analysis.

• Experience working with the Technology Department Management to identify key metrics and reporting requirements as they relate to technology performance and operations.

• Experience in customer-facing IT support roles.

Skills:

• Ability to design, install, configure, maintain, and perform system administration activities.

• Infrastructure Skills

• Server/O365/End User Compute required.

• Expertise in troubleshooting network issues including connectivity and latency for both the production and office environments.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to effectively communicate and develop project plans with outsourced providers

• Ability to function effectively in a complex rapidly changing environment.

• Provides recommendations to adjust systems or processes to prevent issue recurrence.

• Ability to prioritize, troubleshoot, track, and resolve day-to-day issues

• Solid understanding of business security practices and procedures

• Being creative and thinking outside the box to determine the best solutions.

• Ability to use technology to create new capabilities across the organization required
