Job Description:

The QA Engineer will be Responsible for test design, test data creation and automation design for UI and Backend applications.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain automated or manual tests in close partnership with developers, business analysts, and reporting teams to drive adherence to the overall data program for application(s) in scope.

  • Able to identify criteria for selection of automated vs. manual test approaches.

  • Collaborate closely with business and IT to progress Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD).

  • Expected to test web services such as SOAP, WCF, RESTful Services.

  • Expected to utilize the following tools/skills: Selenium (Java) Programming; Winium (Ruby) Programming; testing applications through various data-formats XML, JSON, CSV, Excel; LINQ, ADO.Net.

  • Responsible for driving test analysis through test suite code coverage

  • Responsible for performing root cause analysis for bugs and improve coverage based on the outcome

  • Responsible to participate in requirement analysis and plan for automation test strategy for the features

Core Requirements:

  • Graduation from a 4-year college or university with major course work in a discipline related to the requirements of the position is preferred. Will consider the equivalent combination of job experience & education that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of this job.

  • A minimum of 5 years professional experience as a software tester including quality assurance processes, software lifecycle, testing, planning, execution & defect tracking.

  • Extensive experience with one or more automation toolsets, such as Selenium or Winium.

  • Experience in communicating with users and other technical teams to assemble requirements, identify tasks, provide estimates and meet production deadlines.

  • Experience in creating acceptance criteria for user stories and generate test automation backlog in an Agile/Scrum environment.

  • Strong understanding of configuration management tools. Exposure to VSTS preferred.

  • Experience with the Mortgage Industry or Financial Applications preferred.

  • Experience in CI/CD pipelines preferred.
