Long term position Navistar, Inc is a truck manufacturing company pursuing several aggressive business goals. The Project Manager's initial project(s) will likely include: Critical enhancements for suppliers and our Supplier Recovery team and/or new or existing projects in the Manufacturing area.
The PM will work closely with the Business Analyst, Subject Matter Experts and business partners to ensure the desired functionality is successfully delivered. Education requirement: Bachelor's in Computer Science or Information Systems Years of Experience:
At least 8 years Responsibilities Drive and enforce standards for full life-cycle application projects: Manage pre-project activities (including resource acquisition and SOWs) and drive all stages through project completion Deliver SDLC documents per PMO policy, including Business Case, ROM estimates, Project Charter, Project Schedule Work Breakdown Structure, and Lessons Learned Establish and promote a strong working partnership between business and IT members of the team and insure excellent communications between team members, stakeholders and management at all levels Control scope and manage the change control process Schedule and lead team meetings and deployment efforts Track, publish and follow up on action items and issues Proactively remove roadblocks and escalate as appropriate to management Monitor spending against budget milestones and take corrective action as needed Qualifications At least 8+ years of recent, successful CORE IT Project Management experience delivering business applications Experience leading cross-functional team(s) in a collaborative software development environment. Able to effectively lead teams through all stages of a project Experience working with 3rd party software implementations a plus Strong interpersonal, organizational and creative problem-solving skills Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills Proven ability to drive change Proven ability to handle complexity (both technical and organizational) Strong understanding of systems.
