Sr. IT Manager Enterprise Data Management and Analytics

STV is currently seeking a Sr. IT Manager of Enterprise Data Management and Analytics with experience in big data and providing business intelligence that helps the company evaluate complex issues in order to uncover enterprise insights and drive business results using enhanced data analytics. You'll partner with internal business groups to understand what they need to know, then design solutions to achieve the desired results. You'll be a hands-on leader and have the opportunity to build this new functional area from the ground up, and design new systems and programs to gather and report on various types of data, across different platforms. This position reports to the Chief Information Officer.

Position Location: The preferred location for this position is Douglassville, PA, but the company will consider locating the position in Newark, NJ or Philadelphia, PA for the right candidate.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Leverage data and analytics related business, process and technology subject matter expertise to create practical

  • Create business intelligence from data by understanding the business, the data, and the technology used to collect, store and analyze the

  • Deliver reporting and analytics to help our business operate more effectively and understand what business questions can be answered and how to unlock the

  • Develop methods to unlock information held in disparate systems, capture intellectual capital, and derive processes to generate lessons learned and better business

  • Design and develop data models, code, and cleansing routines that utilize typical data quality functions for data, master data, and metadata as

  • Drive improved data quality and consistency across all data solutions in the business analytics portfolio.

  • Create the processes to compile and reconcile data from multiple sources to define and create reporting dashboards and data visualization

  • Develop and implement a vision to extend/improve our existing analytics and reporting

  • Identify, scope, prioritize, project manage, and deliver solutions to create business

  • Identify future opportunities for system enhancement and value

  • Aggregating data from multiple sources in an efficient data warehouse and designing enterprise- level solutions for very large multidimensional databases

  • Create presentations, charts, tables and graphs. Develop insights-based presentations from analytics and present to internal

  • Provide strong leadership around tools, technologies and methods to drive future

  • Create/maintain ERDs, data flow, data mapping and additional technical

  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Strong understanding of industry related best practices and tools in subject matter area. Prior experience and expertise with the following applications and services are preferred: Microsoft Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services, and SQL Server Analysis

  • Leadership skills and experience in business intelligence, data management, enterprise data warehouse, big data, dashboards, as well as BI and Analytics tools, technologies and

  • A solid understanding of key big data trends and big data vendor landscape required.

  • Solid understanding of data science principles and analytics and its applied nature to solving specific business problems and achieving business goals.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to prepare written reports and documents, and conduct effective presentations which explain and present concepts to technical and non-technical audiences alike, including high level decision makers.

  • Collaborate effectively and lead cross-functional teams as needed to deliver results.

  • Strong business requirements gathering expertise work with business users to define and document technical and process requirements.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

  • Must possess strong professional and organizational skills.

  • Must be self-motivated, energetic, creative, and have a team focus.

  • Ability to work independently and meet deliverable schedules.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize appropriately.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and proven ability to create innovative solutions.

  • Strong debugging, problem solving and investigative skills. Ability to assimilate disparate information (log files, error messages etc.) and pursue leads to find root cause problems.

  • Extensive expertise in data definition, data profiling and data quality required.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree required; in Information Systems, Information Management, Computer Science, Data Sciences or relevant field.

  • Advanced Degree highly desired.

  • 7+ year's working in a similar role with progressively responsible experience in IT during which both professional and management capabilities have been clearly demonstrated.

  • 10+ years of work experience with ETL, data modeling, and business intelligence in big data architectures.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus.

  • Experience working in an A/E/C company a plus, but not required.

  • Experience managing complex projects with diverse teams and developing data driven and outcome-based initiatives to improve business decision making and operational efficiencies.
