THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:

The Senior Manager leads a team working on multiple projects simultaneously in a in a highly dynamic, fast paced and rewarding environment. They collaborate with business stakeholders to develop a deep understanding of business needs and strategy, identify priorities, define scope and recommend system solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals. This role is responsible for the operations of key marketing systems including the Loyalty Platform, Unique Coupon Engine, UB Media, and other MarTech systems such as Adobe CDP, Adobe Experience Platform, Guest 360, ID Resolution, Content Management, Campaign Management, Personalization, and Promotions. This role is crucial in managing the integration, optimization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement of these systems to enhance customer engagement and drive business success.

YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH ALL THESE GOALS BY:

  • Systems Management: Develops policy and standards for solution development projects. Evaluates, proposes, devises and initiates solutions within the organization. Takes action to explore opportunities that will have a measurable effect on process effectiveness, with associated benefits to the business. Manages and identifies the resources necessary for all phases of solution development, ensuring that scope, schedule, financial and quality targets are met.

  • Relationship Management: Develops long-term, strategic relationships with senior stakeholders internally and externally. Is a single point of contact and facilitates access to colleagues and subject matter experts. Maintains a strong understanding of industry and business, assisting in the formation of IT strategies, and acts to ensure that they are offered solutions and services aligned to these strategies. Negotiates at senior level on technical and commercial issues.

  • Quality Management: Leads the application of appropriate quality management techniques to identify areas for improvement. Coordinates systematic corrective action to reduce errors and improve the quality of the systems and services, by examination of the root causes of problems.

  • Resourcing: Develops plans to ensure that the organization has appropriately skilled resources to meet organizational objectives and commitments. Manages the effective implementation of resource planning, recruitment, selection, assessment, on-boarding and transitioning of resources.

  • Performance Management: Manages individuals and teams by allocating responsibilities and/or packages of work. Provides coaching and support and delegates responsibilities where possible, in order to achieve corporate objectives. Ensures performance objectives, and monitors progress against agreed quality and performance criteria.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Hands-on Manager with Day to Day IT Support responsibility for applications that operate and support ULTA distribution centers running 24x7 operations.

  • Responsible for vendor coordination for contracts, metrics, SLA, accountability, onsite & offshore resources, schedules, feedback, and other activity.

  • Lead projects related to the enhancement and optimization of marketing technologies, coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver on time and within budget.

  • Implement strategic plans for the integration of new technologies and systems to enhance marketing capabilities and customer experience.

  • Utilize data from marketing technologies to produce insightful analytics, helping to drive decisions and measure the effectiveness of marketing strategies.

  • Continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices, including automation of deployment and testing processes

  • Peak holiday preparation and lessons learned

  • Peak Support leadership updates, documentation, and meetings responsibility.

  • Support and coordination Patching activities for application and servers we own

  • Work with teams for leading support and issue analysis activities.

  • Own root cause analysis for impacting issues

  • Utilize and integrate monitoring solutions to sustain and improve performance.

  • Coordinate break-fix and small projects for systems and support reduction improvements

  • Lead outage calls until operation is up and running

  • SOX documentation and control responsibility

  • Explore and recommend solutions to business improvements and issues

  • Creates, maintains, and leads coordination for support documentation

THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, or equivalent professional experience

  • 9+ years of IT management experience in both functional and technical as lead or manager implementing or supporting Operational Systems

  • 5 years' experience managing technology teams

  • Strong DevOps knowledge with CI/CD process

  • Proven track record and experience in providing superior production support

  • Experience in working and leading with contractor firms with resources both onshore and offshore.

  • Able to multi-task and adapt quickly to change

  • Excellent communication skills; feels comfortable working with non-technical business partners

  • Strong leadership skills in accountability and customer focus

  • Able to work in and contribute towards a highly collaborative environment

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Customer Service/relationship focus

  • Proactive and able to catch issues before failures

  • Experience working in a continuous delivery environment.

  • Excellent analysis/troubleshooting skills, able to solve problems efficiently

  • Able to motivate others to drive desired results

  • Support off-hours production issues and code deployments and peak season

  • Minimal travel required (training/conferences)
