The Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure Analyst role is to ensure the streamlined IT operations at our TSV business while aligning with the business objectives of the organization. The IT Infrastructure Analyst will plan, coordinate, direct and design IT-related activities of the organization, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the IT department. The IT Infrastructure Analyst will work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization as well as coordinate with the parent organization to deploy standard solutions. The IT Infrastructure Analyst will also define, implement, and monitor the adherence of Textron IT policies, procedures and best practices under coordination with the TSV Infrastructure Analyst.
Assists in the planning and implementation of additions, deletions and modifications to the IT infrastructure.
Assists in the planning and implementation of any technology required to support the operations of the local sites including, but not limited to, hardware and software installed on the production shop floor.
Implements and audits network security.
Oversees the administration and maintenance of the company's infrastructure and directs others when necessary.
Oversees the monitoring and capacity planning of the company's local WAN connections.
Manages the company's local telephone systems.
Oversees all local telephone changes.
Oversees the administration, maintenance and user support for all local computer hard-and software
Oversees troubleshooting, system backups, archiving, and disaster recovery and provides support when necessary.
Works with third party provider to support production line and production automation systems.
Provides Level 1 support for centrally-supported systems and works with remote teams to resolve issues.
Works with project teams to help implement internal systems. Researches and recommends innovative, and where possible, automated approaches to system tasks. Identifies approaches that leverage existing resources.
Builds and maintains vendor relationships and manages the purchase of hardware and software products.
Manages the purchasing of all software, hardware and other IT supplies.
Ensures that company assets are maintained responsibly.
Performs daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs.
Maintains inventory of all local technology component
Must be fluent in English; spoken and written
5-8 years of related work experience.
Strong technical knowledge of telecommunications, network and PC operating systems.
Strong technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols and standards.
Extensive application support experience. Experience with SAP is preferred.
Programming skills and experience with shop floor systems.
Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development.
