The selected candidate will be a member of the Windows and Linux team to support a large and complex Microsoft Windows Servers infrastructure including VMware ESXi clusters, Windows Servers 2008R2/2012/2016. This position directly and closely works with clients (federal agency), interacts with other engineering groups and vendors on complex problem troubleshooting and resolution. It also requires some travels to customer premises. Participation in after-hours on-call rotation is required.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, a related field or equivalent experience and/or certifications.
Candidate must be US Citizen
Must have 7 or more years experience and in depth knowledge with UNIX/Linux and Microsoft Windows servers operations and Administration (installation, configuration, update and patching, automation, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS)
Experience with PowerShell scripting
Experience with VMware ESXi, clusters, vCenter administration
Experience with Nimble SAN storage, Exagrid storage
Experience with CommVault Backup server
Experience with SolarWinds monitor and alert software
Strong verbal and written communication skills to work with clients and team members
Hands on experience to troubleshoot server hardware and equipment issues
Excellent problem analysis and problem solving skills
Perform well both independently and in team environment and ability for multi-tasking
Must be self motivated and willing and be able to adapt and master new products and technologies quickly
Experience with Service Now ticketing systems to monitor and respond to tickets and tasks promptly
