Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an IoT architect to work with our customers to craft cloud-based IoT solutions.

The successful candidate will become a trusted adviser to our customers and will work with AWS sales, business development, solution architects, and our IoT service team to drive mobile-related adoption and revenue. This will include showcasing service such as AWS IoT, Cognito, API Gateway, and Lambda.

  • Author and contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as blogs, whitepapers.

  • Experience developing IoT and Mobile solutions and passion for getting hands dirty with code.

  • Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates.

  • Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support.

This is a customer facing role. You will be required to travel to client locations and deliver professional services when needed

NETWORK SECURITY ARCHITECT All Locations - Remote SUMMARY: Reporting to the IT Security Manager, the Sr. Network Security Architect will be the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) on diverse and challenging engagements. This position will be responsible for the analysis, design, architecture and implementation of secure network solutions and related technologies. The role is also expected to document enterprise solutions in accordance with best practices, compliance and contractual requirements. The daily duties include hands-on troubleshooting, interfacing with both technical and non-technical employees and business partners to resolve complex cases by designing and implementing secure technical solutions. This Sr. Network Security Architect will provide guidance and expertise when events or conditions occur affecting the confidentiality, availability or integrity of a system and will also be a mentor and facilitator to assist other team members. Please Note: This position is remote and can be based near any of our regional offices. Essential Functions: Individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The essential functions listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required with or without reasonable accommodation. * Determine business and technical requirements; designing, planning, implementing, and testing secure technical solutions * Configure, implement and troubleshoot various networking and security technology deployments. Specific tasks could include: * Creating and deploying Palo Alto virtual firewalls with appropriate configurations and policies * Administering and maintaining Panorama including configuring next-generation feature sets * Configuring and troubleshooting Aruba and Juniper network configurations, access control lists and policies, routing/switching configurations - implementing best practices * Reviewing current system security measures; Recommending and implementing enhancements. Specific tasks could include: * Implementation/management of SSL certificates * Provide guidance and vision on the latest networking & security practices, tools, and technology for the advancement and refinement of the environment. Specific tasks could include: * Review and make recommendations for SD-WAN with plan and guidance for implementation * Preparing and documenting security standards and hardening guidelines. Specific tasks could include: * Review and improve where possible: Workstation/Server/Application baseline configurations * Incorporate automation to validate effectiveness and synchronization of secure configurations * Design and deploy architecture within Microsoft Azure and other cloud vendors that meets technical, security, and business needs * Prepare status reports on security matters and perform network security assessments and develop security risk analysis scenarios and response procedures. Prepare packet decoding an analysis. * Enforce security policies and procedures by administering and monitoring security profiles, review security reports and investigate possible security exceptions. * Evaluate new forward thinking products and/or procedures to enhance productivity and effectiveness * Provide direct support to the business and IT staff for network & security related issues * Fiscal Responsibilities: N/A * Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A * Expenses: Employees must be able to pay for certain business expenses in advance.
