About the team and the role:

The eBay iOS Checkout Payments Team is looking for a Senior iOS Engineer who is passionate about creating apps consumers love. The Senior iOS Engineer will have an expert's depth and breadth of experience in iOS, Swift, Objective-C, and XCode as well as familiarity with the integration of network services and will be proficient in teaching and leading by example and mentoring both junior and senior engineers.

What you will accomplish:

  • Design functional and technical solutions while providing technical direction to technical and multi-functional teams, while maintaining a continuous delivery schedule

  • Conduct testing at all levels (unit, integration, UI, and acceptance)

  • Refactor to improve testability and reusability.

  • Use our statistic analysis tool for monitoring and finding opportunities for improvement.

  • Identify project risks, quantify the risk/benefit relationships, and provide alternative solutions as well as risk mitigation where appropriate.

  • Conduct planning, facilitate retrospectives, apply story writing and tasking, and train and mentor our technical teams.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree (OR) Master's degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent.

  • 6+ years of experience generating commercial quality iOS applications using Swift/Swift UI and Cocoa - please provide links to published apps if available.

  • Deep web-service & API experience, along with a deep understanding of design patterns, and experience working in a layered architecture.

  • Mobile Architecture experience and GraphQL a plus!

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.

$135,200 - $205,700

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
