Do you like telling stories, crafting messages and creating engaging communications?

We're seeking a high-energy and enthusiastic Senior Internal Communications Specialist to join our team. As a member of our team, you have a passion for informing, educating and engaging employees (known as "Junivators") to do their best work and to help Juniper Networks be the best place to work. Ideally, you have 4+ years of experience in internal/employee communications and you have exceptional writing, editing and verbal communications skills. High attention to detail, strong planning and organizational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks while maintaining composure under pressure is essential.

This position is based in Sunnyvale and reports to the Director of Internal Communications.

Responsibilities

  • Source, plan and produce content for our Juniper Life program and people managers, including employee-wide emails, articles, videos, Q&As, blogs and interactive forums.

  • Be the point person for supporting the development and delivery of human resources communications.

  • Manage the master slide deck for the quarterly company meeting; help to craft and organize speaker notes, and ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Assist with the Annual Employee Communications Survey & Focus Groups.

  • Collaborate with departments, functions and territories to share best practices and to help guide them in achieving their goals. Work with designers to help bring content to life in a compelling way.

  • Brainstorm and research ideas to help craft original content and engage Junivators, whether it's aligning them with our vision, connecting them to our mission, deepening understanding of our strategy or creating amazing employee experiences.

  • Support the internal communications team with content, campaigns and events, as they arise and based on organizational priorities.

  • Assist with managing internal communication processes, policies, procedures and templates.

  • Track and measure success.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in communications or a related field, plus 4+ years of relevant experience.

  • Exceptional writing, top-notch editing and excellent verbal communications skills.

  • Ability to think critically about information and issues to effectively solve problems and deliver customer success.

  • Outstanding interpersonal and teamwork skills to build solid relationships across functions and geographies.

  • Excellent planning and organizational skills to manage multiple concurrent projects, unsupervised, in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail.

  • A positive, can-do attitude and a passion for communications, innovation and technology. An aptitude for constantly learning and improving.

  • Self-motivated, resourceful, results driven and deadline oriented.

  • Comfortable working under pressure, adapting to changing priorities and voicing solutions to challenges.

  • Computer literate with standard business, collaboration, social applications and tools to effectively execute strategies to multiple audiences.

  • Talent for delivering imaginative and original ideas to help make communications informative and engaging.
