Total Wine & More is seeking a talented Senior Integrations Developer to join our team. The primary functions of this role are to develop software applications based on functional requirements and technical specifications. This person will regularly create and document technical designs based on functional requirements as well as implement the design. Software developers work collaboratively with business analysts in order to understand functional requirements and translate those requirements into technical designs. Additionally, software developers work collaboratively with other developers to share coding best practices and ensure standardized techniques across the team.Our ideal candidate will have experience with software development across a variety of integrations and database technologies across Microsoft and Google technologies including .NET, and SQL Server, and Airflow with some cloud development experience with preferences in Azure or Google cloud platforms. Experience with a variety of software development design patterns such as MVC, Service Oriented Architecture, Object Oriented Design, Microservice Architecture, Big Data, Business Intelligence, Stream Processing and Batch Integrations will be helpful with developing solutions within our systems.Total Wine & More development teams operate in an Agile environment, in both Scrum and Kanban processes which requires close collaboration with business analysts, QA engineers, subject matter experts, and members of the business.Total Wine & More has a unique, entrepreneurial culture and our business reflects this spirit.   • Software development of cloud-based solutions in Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform

  • Software development of ETL/ELT solutions in SQL, .NET, GCP, and Clover DX

  • Data modeling in a variety of database models / platforms including SQL Server, MySQL, BigQuery, flat files

  • Implementation of real time streaming integrations based on cloud-native technologies

  • Design and implementation of services based on service-oriented and micro-service architectures

  • Serve as technical expert including solution analysis and translating functional requirements into design specifications

  • Collaborate with QA Engineers on planning and execution of unit tests of code components

  • Development of solutions for a variety of complex problems

  • Develop technical processes that leverage modern CI/CD concepts and pipelines

  • Work in fast paced, highly collaborative, Agile development environment

  • Support, maintain, and document software functionality

  • Identify and evaluate new technologies for implementation

  • Analyze code to find causes of errors and revise programs as needed

  • Consult with end users to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet needs


Minimum Experience, Skills and Education:

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience

  • 2+ years of professional software development experience using relevant integration technologies

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university in Computer Science, Technology or related field

  • Experience with a variety of software development languages and platforms. Relevant platforms are listed below.

  • Experience with a variety of software design patterns, including object-oriented design, client/server, service-oriented architecture, MVC, microservice architecture, ETL/ELT, star schema.

  • Experience with database design / data modeling.

  • Understanding of design principles related to developing reusable, supportable, and scalable software solutions.

  • Ability to quickly learn new technical skills, platforms, and approaches including how to adapt them into practical solutions.

  • Ownership mentality with capability to drive forward solutions on own initiative

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage expectations

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are must.

Preferred Experience, Skills and Education:

  • Agile/Scrum methodology experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft technologies and platforms including: client/server development using CXML/XSL, SOAP, REST, WCF and Web Services

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Azure

  • Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform

  • Proficiency in cloud-native components and architectural principles

  • Proficiency in ETL/ELT platforms, architectures, and design approaches

  • Proficiency in API design / service-oriented architecture

  • Proficiency in Node.JS, Go, Python languages

  • Experience with Visual Studio

  • Experience with VSTS/Azure DevOps or Git.

  • Proficiency with SQL Server technology and architecture.

  • Excellent T-SQL knowledge

  • Excellent knowledge of design patterns for software design

  • Excellent knowledge of enterprise architectural patterns

  • Excellent familiarity with software development processes, standards, and best practices to ensure quality outcomes

  • Experience working within short development cycles using agile (Scrum) methods

  • Good Presentation and Communication skills along with abilities to convey information and persuade

  • Ability to translate technical concept into language for non-technical stakeholders

  • Passion for keeping up to speed with the latest software tools and methodologies

  • Ability to challenge status-quo
