Sr Integration Engineer

Position Summary

As an Advisor you will be a key contributor in our Enterprise Products Acceleration - Integration: ESL, EIP, API Integration organization. We are seeking a proven technical leader to join a high priority program focused on transforming CVS customer service experience. We are on a journey to turn technology transformation strategy into action in the form of solution and integration designs.

As the Advisor, you will:

• Research and propose innovative technical integration strategies and solutions.

• Study and document architectural frameworks and reference material.

• Design and modify components of new and existing IT systems and vendor offerings to promote integrated corporate business systems.

• Design, support and deploy mechanisms to enhance, refine, and deliver the architecture vision.

• Analyze current information technology environments to identify and assess critical capabilities and recommend solutions.

• Provide research and development activities for architecture.

• Collaborate with Project Managers and technical directors, vendors to provision estimates, develop overall implementation solution plan, and serve as a lead as required. Provide lab and vendor support.

• Provide guidance for enterprise-wide technology to junior staff.

• Develop frameworks, standards & reference material for architecture and associated products.

• Develop & maintain common services, repositories & utility components for the enterprise.

• Provide data, application & technology deliverables on a program & project level basis including risk & opportunity assessment, modeling and design related products and services.

• Follow the architecture governance guidelines associated with ensuring compliance within organization.

• Effectively implement the architecture guidelines to different levels of the organization.

• Adhere to enterprise architecture strategies, principals, standards, policies and procedures.

• Proficiency in API Configuration, Plugins and customization.

• Strong understand of API security principle and Practices.

• Experience with containerization and orchestration.

• Familiarity with scripting language for custom plugin development.

• Create secure, robust and scalable integrations between various applications and APIs.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in API Management and administration, with a focus on the Azure APIM and Kong API Gateway.

• 5+ years of experience as a technical lead developing middleware integration solution or architecting large scale federated systems.

• 3+ years of experience in enterprise, application and information architecture methodologies and design and/or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

• 3+ years of experience with object-oriented principles.

• 3+ years of experience in Middleware, services/APIs with REST.

• 2+ years of experience designing complex integrations with considerations on performance engineering & loose coupling using APIs.

• 2+ years of experience with any or all of following delivery methodologies: Agile/Scrum Development & Management, Scaled Agile, Iterative & Incremental development approaches, Continuous Integration and delivery.

• 2+ years of experience with design considerations for high volume transaction systems.

• Proficiency in various methods of authentication and authorization via APIs (OAuth2, JWT, LDAP, OIDC, etc)

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of overall technical exposure on Azure API Management and Kong API Gateway

• 3+ years of overall technical exposure on Middleware, Messaging, API and REST Based services.

• 3+ years of experience in the role of a Solutions Technical Lead with proven experience in applying architecture blueprints and aligning projects to enterprise standards.

• 3+ years of application development experience with REST API/microservices/Java frameworks.

• 2+ years of experience with Software Architect Designer tool or any architecture design tools.

• Ability to assess the impact of architecture changes on the business, application relationships and information flow.

• Experience with large-scale distributed systems using message queues, TPMs, or other related technologies in a mobile/portal environment.

• 3+ years of experience with Digital application design and development and integrating enterprise business systems.

• 2+ years of experience with Cloud Platform like Azure, GCP and AWS.

• 1+ year of experience with Event Streaming like Kafka.

• Experienced with API design

• Experience building and consuming Micro Services

• Experience with Git, Subversion, Jenkins, Spring Cloud, and Docker

• Healthcare background or experience is preferred.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems (Masters preferred)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$90,000.00 - $196,000.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
