JOB SUMMARY
The Sr. Inside Sales Representative will be an important part of the Polaris Government and Defense team. They will be the face of our business to government customers and partners around the country and will be responsible for interacting with them and representing Polaris. It will be important to be outgoing, a great communicator, and willing to spend time assisting customers on the phone or over email with questions regarding their vehicle choices. Vehicle knowledge will be an integral part of this job, including vehicle specs and customization. This role will be comprised largely of providing quotes to government customers as well as partners and assisting them with placing orders.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the Polaris Gov & Defense sales funnel as primary point of contact for customer facing government sales efforts
Responsible for the Government and Defense hotline and email inbox, meeting daily completion targets for quoting and response times
Create, support, or submit formal bids for federal, state and local opportunities through the quoting process
Conducts sales calls to identify needs with current and prospective customers and make/quote product and accessory recommendations
Assist in management of Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), government direct, third party, Sourcewell and State Contract customer relationships and pursuits
Assist in maintaining CRM quote generation program to include control of price list information and compliance with terms of each contract price list, in addition to daily capture and management/maintenance of customer information database
Work with inside sales team, SIOP, and operations to ensure vehicle, parts, and accessories (PG&A) availability
General support - assist Polaris staff/consultants with projects, customer follow-up, shipping, tracking and issue resolution
Liaison between customers and Service Support to ensure delivery, technical service, training, and/or post-sales support
Show and demo support as needed - assist with show preparation, set-up, and work the booth
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Two year AA/AS or bachelor's degree in any field preferred
Minimum three years' sales experience preferred with experience in business-to-business sales and/or business to consumer sales.
Experience with Government/Military business preferred, specifically as it relates to the government contracting process
Strong numeric skills, with the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Basic knowledge and application of statistics and strong Excel skills.
Proficiency with computer programs: Word, Powerpoint, Excel
Proficiency with Polaris programs: CRM and AS400 preferred
Strong communication skills required - verbal (including phone), written and listening
Extensive product knowledge (department expert) preferred
Strong problem solving skills
Excellent time-management and prioritization skills
Self-motivated team player
High level of integrity
Great attention to detail
