Summary/Objective The Senior Inside Claim Adjuster will provide a professional level of claim handling through strong insurance industry knowledge and interpersonal skills; and consistently deliver a remarkable customer experience when handling claims involving commercial liability and property damage. This position will manage a complex claim inventory, including litigated claims, and ensure compliance with all internal guidelines, applicable procedures, laws, and regulations for the applicable venue(s) being serviced. Essential Functions Consistently deliver a remarkable customer experience by handling commercial claims Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle claims to include verification of coverage, legal liability, and extent of damage to persons and property, which may require contact by telephone, email, and other correspondence.

Handle claims involving litigation, which may include complex/non-routine lawsuits, alternative dispute resolution, and extra-contractual damages Ability to review complex policies and apply best practices, laws, statutes, and insurance regulations when determining coverage, liability, and property damage. Determine whether additional or specialized investigation is necessary for claim resolution Uses various electronic resources and vendors to assist with claim handling Work with minimal supervision in handling complex commercial claims Assist in training and/or mentoring less experienced team members Collaborate with internal partners and interface with external vendors Attends trials, mediations, depositions, if court needed Prepare and/or review estimates in property loss settlements Leverage appropriate job aids, expertise, and tools to accurately and consistently process more complex property claims Secures releases from appropriate parties Update agents as needed during the claims process Physical attendance is required at the worksite 3 days a week 8 am to 5 pm. Required Education and Experience 7 years of previous commercial claim experience and 620 License Must possess excellent attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, high initiative, and a proven ability to meet required deadlines.

Must always maintain a professional demeanor. Able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced and changing environment, have initiative, and the ability to work with others towards a common goal. Use of PC working with company’s software and Internet programs.

Have strong oral and written communication skills.
