The primary purpose for this position is to integrate and deliver a wide range of technology solutions to clients. This position is also a key contributor to the practice engineer team responsible for designing complex IT infrastructure services and solutions. This position may also provide pre-sales support, customer support and direct quality assurance for all projects assigned.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Designs, architects and implements infrastructure solutions, which may include but not be limited to Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange, Azure, SCCM, SharePoint, Office 365Designs, architects and troubleshoots client infrastructure solutions. Transfers technical skills and knowledge to client
Assists Sales Team with pre-sales activities in educating clients with products.
Prepares and delivers client presentations
Provides product demonstration to include implementation/migration planning
Prepares product deliverable templates/client timetables
Technology Enablement Center (TEC) demonstration/briefings
Develops solutions based on analysis of business and technical requirements
Reviews client hardware configuration to ensure client meets necessary requirements
Develops architecture and design of projects
Provides research, problem solving, technical support, and general maintenance of client relationship
Manages solution Quality Assurance (QA) tasks for all projects delivered against assigned project deliverables
Provides project coordination duties for assigned projects to include providing detailed implementation/migration planning to client, knowing and meeting client timetable, coordinating vendor installations, etc. Facilitates communication between product team members. Proactively monitors and reports status of project efforts, anticipates, and identifies issues that inhibit the attainment of project goals and implements corrective actions
Develops and reviews advanced technical manuals for standard install processes that are directly related to specialization and discipline on the job as needed
Develops and reviews project scope to include work services estimate, services, resource assignments and allocations, and statements of work for assigned projects
Reviews statements of work, sales quotations and technical responses to Request of Quotation (RFQs) & Request for Information (RFIs) and Request for Proposals (RFPs)
Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related field
At least five (5) years of technical hands-on experience and experience architecting, implementing, and/or managing virtual infrastructure environments
Other Position Requirements
At least five (5) years' experience in a professional IT environment (can be concurrent with required 5 years' experience above)
Demonstrated knowledge of End User Computing technologies such as:
Microsoft OS, Microsoft AD, and Microsoft Exchange
VMware Workspace One Components
Horizon, Airwatch, Identity Manager
Experience integrating applications with Azure such as:
Citrix Apps and Desktops,
Demonstrated knowledge of converged and hyperconverged solutions such as: Cisco, Nutanix, HPE
Demonstrated knowledge of platform and network connectivity
Demonstrated technical aptitude
Experience leading complex technology projects in support of business initiatives
Demonstrated ability to design and architect various types of IT infrastructure solutions
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft products solutions and offerings
Demonstrated communication and presentation skills
Demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision, independently and/or as a member of a project team.
Demonstrated ability to multitask and to prioritize workload under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to manage and escalate technical issues to appropriate vendor support team
Demonstrated organizational, time-management, problem-solving and follow-up skills
Demonstrated ability to oversee project work activities
Demonstrated ability to perform technical skills/knowledge transfer to client
