TS/SCI - Current Job Description Raytheon IIS is seeking a Sr.
System Administrator to perform a variety of system administration and maintenance functions associated with monitoring and controlling LINUX and Windows computers hosting classified intelligence data and software applications.
This work is in support of the DCGS.
Location of work is Langley AFB Virginia.
Duties include, but are not limited to providing computing support to classified programs in Windows and Linux desktop and server environments; troubleshooting and fixing incidents related to engineering software and hardware; and assisting in designing, implementing, and supporting Windows and Linux environments.
Though this position is with a larger IT team, the candidate is expected to work well on his or her own with only general direction.
The candidate is expected to be self-directed, able to multi-task and prioritize work, possess excellent problem solving skills, have strong written and verbal communication skills, is customer focused, and organized.
In addition to the hard skills for supporting a technical environment, experience with an IT incident/service request system and strong customer interaction skills with users of all levels are required.

Responsibilities: Administrative operations include performing configuration changes, system backup and restore, troubleshooting, and user account administration.
Other functions include maintaining system operational availability, supporting installations, developing solutions to technical issues, working with in-plant engineers to resolve discrepancy reports, providing on-the-job training to the system operators and supporting Unit maintenance tasking.
Provide technical support of VMware systems.
Position will require shift work.
Required Skills: Existing Department of Defense (DoD) TS/SCI security clearance 4 years of applicable experience including experience with and/or knowledge of: . In-depth knowledge of Solaris or Linux Operating Systems . System administration experience in Solaris/Linux and Windows environments supporting business critical systems on server and desktop operating systems (Server 2008, Server 2012, Windows 7, Windows 10, Red Hat Linux) . Experience providing technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems . Strong knowledge of AD, DHCP, DNS, LDAP, CIFS, NIS, and Windows system security . General understanding of network services . Demonstrated proficiency in deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting core Linux capabilities including Active Directory authentication, permission management, DNS, Samba, package management, and NFS.
. Demonstrated proficiency in deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting most aspects of ESXi and vCenter.
Previous experience working with the military in some capacity . Strong communication skills and customer interaction skills with users of all levels Must be willing and able to travel if required Willing to work extended work hours to include nights and weekends Desired

Skills:
Automation via scripting (PowerShell), File Replication, File System Tuning, Upgrading and Configuring Experience with Dell EMC ISILION or other enterprise storage devices.
Familiarity with Cisco Enterprise network solutions Centralized configuration management Experience with or knowledge of DCGS (Distributed Common Ground System) . Experience with databases . Experience with VMWare or Virtual Computing.
Previous experience working with the military in some capacity Certification Security + - DoD 8570 certification required Required Education:
Engineering/Technical Bachelors degree and 4+ years of relevant experience OR 12+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

The candidate must have experience and knowledge with software engineering using object oriented methodologies. The candidate will work closely with systems engineers, integrators, testers, and customers to help design, develop and support software applications throughout the modernization and sustainment lifecycle including working in an Agile DevOps framework and support to automated test and integration.
