Rogers Corporation is seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer responsible for establishing and maintaining process standards, cost models, and performing capacity analyses in support of business decisions. Drives improvements in efficiencies, cost, and capacity utilization.
1.Analyzes work force utilization, facility layout, and operational data such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment.
2.Identifies improvements in methods, procedures, equipment, and work flow which increase output or quality. Leads resulting improvement projects where appropriate.
3.Participates in multi-functional teams (Finance, Engineering, Manufacturing, Facilities, etc.), providing estimated production times, staffing requirements, capacity constraints, and related costs, to make business decisions. Leads where appropriate.
3.Develops capacity models which guide decisions in the justification of additional capital equipment.
4.Generates and maintains part numbers, bill of materials, routers, yields and other costing information with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
5.Supervises engineering assistants and industrial staff, as needed. Senior Industrial Engineers may supervise Engineering Technicians and/or entry-level Engineers.
6.Documents work and presents results to senior management.

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering
Five or more years professional Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
Six Sigma Greenbelt/Blackbelt certification and/or Lean Bronze/Silver/Gold certification
Demonstrated focus on continuous improvement and "first time right" quality principles
Demonstrated history of successful project management
Preferred Education and Experience:
Six Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt certification
Experience managing technical professionals
Required Skills and Abilities:
Able to effectively communicate with all levels of manufacturing and with corporate management
Self-starter with strong leadership and demonstrated problem-solving ability
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of cost accounting methods
Knowledge of quality systems tools including SPC, FMEA, Process Flow Charting, and ISO/IATF-16949 quality systems
