AMSURG, a division of Envision Healthcare, is seeking a skilled professional to join our Insight Implementation Team as a Senior Implementation Specialist. The primary responsibilities of the Senior Implementation Specialist will be to perform successful site visits and document findings in clear and concise written documentation. Performs system builds, training, and implementations and post go live direct support. Conducts ongoing training for Insight program users, including corporate users, surgery center users and Central billing Office(s) users. Creates training tools for end users and assists the User Satisfaction team as needed.
This position requires broad knowledge and experience with Revenue Cycle Management systems and Clearinghouses. NextGen and NextGen Clearinghouse experience is highly desirable. Other products/services that the Senior Implementation Specialist team may implement include Refund Manager, Viewgol, RTS, State Reporting, Implant Log, InstaMed, various interfaces and several Patient Engagement products and services such as One Medical Passport, Simple Admit, Dialog Health and Casetabs. There may be other products or services implemented that the Senior Implementation Specialist will be oriented to once on board. We also anticipate that this list will grow over time.
As the products and services under the Insight umbrella grow and expand, Senior Implementation Specialists will be expected to rapidly learn how to implement and train on those products and services. Further, excellent demonstrated skills in written and verbal communication will be expected, monitored and reviewed on a regular basis.
Work under the direction of and support the Project Insight Manager, Implementations and Enhancements.
Manage Project Insight (NextGen) PM training processes for internal AMSURG constituencies.
Manage Project Insight (NextGen) PM implementation and training processes for assigned Center sites.
Manage advanced projects and builds with centers of 3 or more locations.
Review, update, maintain and utilize NextGen training materials for internal and external use.
Develop customized configuration modifications to meet specific needs to a Center, the CBO or other Anesthesia entity.
Troubleshoot NextGen configuration and specification issues with associated vendors and payers.
Troubleshoot NextGen-related interface issues with associated vendors.
Assess complex workflows within the ASC and affiliated practice environments to insure the optimal configuration of the NextGen system and any other vendor products such as Endoscopy Report writing systems, laboratory systems, etc.
Work as part of the Insight team to facilitate and/or complete effective implementations with the following goals:
Rapidly deployable, repeatable processes
Successful revenue cycle management with demonstrable revenue stream from ERA processes within 20 days of go-live date
Cost-effective follow-up and phased training approach for implementing post- or complimentary PM go-live features such as Document Management, Real Time Server, Background Business Processor, Worklog/Tasking, other ancillary products and iterative version updates
Must be available to travel approximately 50%; usual on-site commitment consists of 1-2 day site assessment which may or may not require an overnight stay, 3 days of training and 'data load' for traditional installations and an additional three days of on-site support during the first week of go-live for each assigned traditional project. No travel is required for Anesthesia and CBO contracted entities.
Conduct training sessions in small groups as well as large in various settings and with minimal equipment, as the situation requires. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Must demonstrate ability to relate with full spectrum of personnel in the ASC and/or practice environment from front desk receptionist to billing specialist to clinical and provider personnel. Must demonstrate ability to relate issues to AMSURG staff and Operations team concisely and discuss options effectively as part of a patient-centered and action-oriented team.
Training of new recruits to their team/facilitate tasks/orientations, etc.
Strategic planning in conjunction with Manager, Director, AVP, VP
Conduct performance reviews for existing Centers to assist Operations teams in finding opportunities to enhance efficiency in the Insight Center.
Ability to retro-fit existing Centers to meet upgrades and new regulatory requirements as needed.
Ability to update and maintain professional training materials and guides; ability to create, manage and maintain professional training curricula and training site.
Assist User Satisfaction and Service Desk personnel with advanced Center NextGen-related support issues.
Ability to test non production environments with attention to detail, workflow impact, and potential issues.
Work with various vendors for issue resolution and enhancement requests.
Other duties within the scope of this position as assigned.

Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university or the equivalent of four (4) years of professional experience in appropriate implementation environment required.
Thorough understanding of patient clinical workflows in ambulatory surgery center and/or medical practice is desired.
Four (4) years preferred PM Training experience within medical practices or surgery centers or equivalent to Project Lead or Core Team member on PM installs for a practice or surgery center with configuration and table maintenance responsibilities.
A minimum of four (4) years preferred direct use experience with PM products such as NextGen.
EDI experience is a plus such as Billing Office management experience or firm understanding of Billing, CPT and ICD10 coding is preferred; knowledge of regulatory requirements for 5010, and ICD10 is highly desirable.
NextGen Certified Professional [EPM/EHR/Others] desired. NCP certification required 6-12 months after hire date.
Familiarity with ASC and Ancillary vendor products highly desirable
Ability to utilize Microsoft Suite products is desired (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook etc.).
Bachelor's degree in related healthcare, business, service or other technical training from an accredited college, university or trade school, or the equivalent of four (4) years of professional experience in appropriate Healthcare environment required. Revenue Cycle Management experience is helpful; Four (4) years direct use experience with healthcare vendor products required. ASC/Practice Office experience or firm understanding of Billing, CPT, ICD-10 coding and ASC X12 transactions is preferred. Thorough understanding of patient workflows in ambulatory surgery center and/or medical practice is extremely helpful. Project management skills and experience useful. Continuing Education classes, vendor conferences and/or certifications in appropriate healthcare fields desired. Ability to learn multiple vendor product design and documentation methods is required. Ability to assess vendor products for technical features and functions is required, as well as reporting findings succinctly and factually.
