Position : Senior Human Resources Generalist (SHRG)

Reports to: Chief of Human Resources
Summary/Objective
The Sr. HR Generalist (SHRG) position is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting designated geographic regions. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: data management, benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, state and federal regulations and employment law compliance.
Essential Functions

Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
Administers the compensation plan adjustments; monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the HRMS/HRIS database.
Processes payroll, wage and hour data changes, garnishments and adjustments/deductions each payroll cycle.
Maintains Retirement plan enrollment/change request by employees; track catch-up contributions and annual elections.
Performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, communicating benefit information to employees, manage COBRA and Leaves of Absence.
Develops and maintains employer reporting; files EEO-1 report annually; maintain other records, reports and logs to conform to EDD, EEO, DOL, HIPAA, and Wellness regulations.
Under the direction of Manager, participates in recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, interns and temporary employees; assist in identifying needs and preferred qualifications of candidates; monitors recruiting program and writes and places advertisements; conducts new-employee orientations;.
Assist with employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
Maintains worker's compensation claims reporting and claim updates;
Updates OSHA reporting and works directly with Management and Safety Manager on safety adherence guidelines, certifications and licensing. Additional support for accidents involving company autos/trucks (i.e. claims processing; invoice processing
Processes, tracks and re-instate Leave of Absence for FMLA, Military, Personal, etc. according to policy/procedures.
Maintains company organization charts and the employee directory.
Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals.
Track and maintain training materials and certifications for various company positions in accordance to employment compliance.
Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.
Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the company. The position functions are given some autonomy with occasional direction for projects, company and department initiatives, and scope of duty changes.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a deskbound role; however, filing, correlating, reproduction and binding materials are required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, bend or stand on a stool, climb stairs, and prepare training and meeting rooms/spaces as necessary.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position regularly requires long hours and occasional travel work as job duties demand.
Travel
Travel is occasioned to all RFMCo office locations within its operating cities, with out-of-area and overnight travel expected.
Required Education and Experience
Minimum of 5 to 8 years' experience resolving employee relations issues and process needs.
1.Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational analysis, employee diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree and 5 - 8 years of relevant human resource experience.
