Location: This role is office based in Plainfield, IN.

This is a strategic, HRBP role, supporting 2 senior leaders and their respective teams. The leaders are the SVP of Mobility ( in Plain field) and the Executive Director of Global IS in California.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides HR expertise and consulting to teams applicable to building organizational capability.

  • The focus is to achieve current and future business objectives through the development and implementation of practical, cost-effective, and proactive human resource strategy, policies and practices.

  • Consult with and advise management to maximize employee productivity through swift and timely resolution

  • Resolve employee performance issues to ensure appropriate corrective action steps are taken, including coaching, verbal / written warnings (corrective action), Performance Improvement Plans.

  • Provide counsel and support to managers for performance development and improvement. Track compliance of required training including conducting New Employee Orientation, New Manager Orientation, Harassment Awareness and other related compliance training, leadership and management courses, etc. as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Master's Degree preferred)

  • Six to eight years of strong HR professional, progressive experience.

  • It is desired that a minimum of five of these years be spent working in a large corporate environment.

  • PHR/SPHR professional certification preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: This role is responsible for leading human resource initiatives and promoting a high performance culture including leadership effectiveness, organizational effectiveness, staffing and sourcing, talent development, performance programs, compensation, policy compliance, employee relations, and communications. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Through collaboration with HR COE's and business leaders, deliver HR services and strategies for assigned functions including talent acquisition, leadership development, organizational design and effectiveness, change management, employee relations and workforce planning * Define the organizational capabilities needed to meet current and future business objectives while enabling a continuous focus on culture transformation * Assess the workforce pipeline and capability in relation to current and future business objectives with a strong focus on diversity and inclusion * With a focus on organizational effectiveness, support talent strategies that enable a culture of performance and accountability * Responsible for managing client organization headcount and employment cost tracking * Provides strategic analysis, management and administration of sales incentive and management incentive processes * Analyzes employee engagement data and partners with leaders to implement strategic plans to improve the employee experience; Develops creative, innovative and cost effective strategies to recruit and develop high potential talent * Partners with key leaders to implement standard processes for performance assessment and feedback, leadership development, succession planning and employee development * Accountable for promptly investigating and resolving employee relations issues * Responsible for the performance of other tasks related to this position as assigned EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: * BA/BS in business, human resources or related area of study * MA/MS/MBA is preferred KEY QUALIFICATIONS: * Minimum of 6 years' professional Human Resources experience * Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities * Experience with employee relations, employee and leadership development * Significant experience in working across functions and leading and delivering on complex projects * Experience leading organizational change; creating and building organizational capabilities utilizing proven and established systems or frameworks * Excellent communication skills, especially with senior leaders and customers * Ability to work effectively and influence others in a diverse and dynamic work environment * Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills * Advanced level skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint) * Previous experience with Workday is preferred * Experience working in HR COE/Shared Services model preferred United Technologies Corporation is An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
