Job Summary

The Senior HRBP will serve as a strategic partner/consultant focused on driving business success. The role will be a collaborative and trusted partner advisor to their clients while executing HR strategies to develop talent, workforce planning, colleague engagement, support organizational design initiatives and effective business performance.

Responsibilities

  • Applies consulting skills to support the business functional areas.

  • Collaborates with HR Centers of Excellence and Leadership to provide business support to achieve goals.

  • Act as change agent for senior management in the development of solutions through organizational development and cultural and process-orientated perspectives.

  • Identify 360, assessment, coaching needs and initiate with Talent Management, assess training needs for team and leadership development.

  • The ability to understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies and processes.

  • Effectively communicate, influence, drive to consensus, and execute on initiatives across all levels of leadership.

  • Business partner responsibility with colleague advocacy and build a positive employee relations culture and work environment.

  • Recommend new HR or business practices, processes, metrics, or models.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development or a related field.

  • 8+ years of progressive/strategic experience as a HR partner

  • Experience in organizational integrations, design and change management

  • Strong understanding and experience working with multiple human resource disciplines such as employee relations, compensation, organizational development, performance management, talent acquisition, and state employment laws.

  • Demonstrated success executing organizational change programs as delegated by senior HR management.

  • Proven storytelling skills with the ability to clearly articulate business issues and solutions to senior leaders.

  • Consulting experience in fast-past environment

  • Success working with a matrix organization achieving results through effective influencing and collaboration

  • Strong conflict resolution skills; ability to influence, deliver constructive advice, resolve problems, communicate solutions throughout the business to avoid the emergence of similar issues, and positively influence change.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to develop reports and recommendations for departmental heads and management as well as stakeholders on various people management approaches, strategies, and solutions.

The Human Resources Director, Supply develops and deploys functional People strategies and plans inclusive of talent, organizational development, culture and performance while leading, coaching and developing a team of HR Business Partners.  Additionally this role will play a crucial role in developing and leading successful transversal enterprise initiatives, partnering with the Senior Business Partner, Demand and other cross-functional Directors to drive overall unit effectiveness and transformative change (ex. Great Line Management, end-to-end enterprise planning, transforming our culture rooted in the Five Principles, etc).  As a key successor role to the HR Head/VP leadership pipeline, this role will also play a key role in broader North American and Global HR initiatives.   Key Responsibilities * Role model great line management; Lead, engage, coach, and develop a team of dynamic HR Business Partners * Partner with the VP HR, Functional Vice President, and Functional Leadership teams to establish and deploy short and long term strategies in the areas of culture, talent, change management and organizational development to drive business success; ensure the people agenda is deployed and effectively actioned while driving a balance of business and associate advocacy * Use Organizational Development (OD) principles and data analytics to develop and deploy rigorous people plans and strategies for supply and technical functions that supports business growth and associate development/engagement; develop and engage in appropriate OD interventions that strengthen the health of the organization and enable a high performance culture; coach and develop Business Partners to develop and implement aligned plans and interventions within respective functions * Work closely with MyP&O and Centers of Expertise (ex. Rewards, Talent, etc.) to collaboratively design and deploy interventions specific to Pet Nutrition needs, or to deploy global standard processes; work closely with HR Business Relationship Managers to continuously improve the operating model and associate experience with the model elements * Drive efficiency across the HR operating model by facilitating the adoption of Mars signature programs, leading and managing unit specific projects, and providing HR support to functional leadership teams. * Partner with cross-functional senior leaders to lead the people, change and culture elements of large transversal enterprise initiatives * Lead all key talent, culture and HR signature process elements within respective supply function * Act as a trusted coach and credible partner to the senior leaders within the supply function   Education & Professional Qualifications * Bachelors degree in Business, Human Resource Management, or related discipline (required).  Masters Human Resources, Business or related discipline preferred. * 12 years of progressive HR or leadership experience * HR generalist experience working at senior levels across different units, functions, or senior leadership and demonstrated strength in people leadership in another function * Demonstrated capability in developing and deploying strategies at the functional leadership and enterprise levels * Demonstrated ability in using Organizational Development models (ie. hypothesis, data, analytics insights, diagnosis, creation of strategy or intervention, deployment, measure and sustain) * Demonstrated capability in leading large scale change management both within HR and within functions/units. * Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking and decision making skills, using a comprehensive approach with strong attention to detail * Strong consulting skills and ability to influence decision-making at the functional leadership and enterprise level * Ability to effectively manage and work with ambiguity and prioritize on business needs and resources * Ability to role model the Five Principles and recognized strengths in integrity, trust, and credibility in past experiences   Mars is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
