The Senior Human Resource Business Partner will assess human resource needs in areas such as talent acquisition, compensation, talent management and training, employee relations, and will assist in developing and implementing solutions to meet those needs. Responsible for managing the delivery of HR programs and services to the business, supporting and implementing them in a way that ensures the program's goals are accomplished while meeting business needs. Partner with leadership to support the Company's operational mission in accordance with corporate guidelines and ensuring compliance with Company policies and procedures.

Reports directly to the HR Director and located in Mesa, Arizona.

Job Description:

Sr Human Resource Business Partner Essential Duties:

Employee Relations

  • Provides advice and counsel to employees and managers at all levels to facilitate effective interpersonal communication and to ascertain work-related problems that adversely affect morale and productivity.

  • Coaches and advises management on policy compliance, disciplinary action, and performance management.

  • Conducts investigations related to claims of harassment or discrimination and makes recommendations for resolution.

Training and Development

  • Conducts new employee orientation and training of employees on Company policies and procedures.

  • Attends Human Resources educational meetings and seminars to stay current with legal requirements and other emerging trends in the field.

  • Functions as a consultant to supervisors/managers to develop human resource and employee relations skills.

Talent / Performance Management

  • Assists Talent Acquisition and hiring managers with the onboarding process for exempt and non-exempt employees.

  • Communicates and administers talent management planning process, to include performance appraisals, succession planning and talent calibrations.

  • Develops methods of measuring whether or not performance management practices align with organizational goals.


  • Provides accurate interpretation and management of company policies and legal requirements to employees and management.

  • Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; periodically audits Forms I-9.

  • Administers injury reporting forms and handles OSHA recording keeping and reporting.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.

  • Business related supervisory/management experience preferred.

  • At least three (3) year of Human Resources Generalist experience required. SPHR, PHR, or related certification (interest or progress toward certification) preferred.

  • Must have knowledge of principles and practices of HR administration, policies, procedures, and employment law.

  • Experience with MS Office, payroll, timekeeping systems, and recruiting systems is also required. Specific experience with Kronos and Workday a plus.

  • Requires the ability to handle assignments that are of a confidential and complex nature with considerable discretion, judgment and tact.
