A DAY IN THE LIFE:

This Project Manager role will play a critical part in our UKG to Workday implementation and future projects for the HR Tech Team.

Working closely with the Human Resources team, the Sr. HRIS Project Manager will lead and facilitate HR Technology projects with cross functional departments engaging multiple functions to achieve end-to-end process excellence; including technology evaluation, implementation, end-user adoption, training, change management, stabilization, and optimization of HR Technology solutions. The Sr. HRIS Project Manager will have strong business acumen complimented with a vast knowledge of HR practices/processes, an understanding of HR systems as well as an analytical and continuous improvement mindset. This role is responsible for leading and providing oversight to large strategic HRIS implementation projects that span across various functions within our services organization, including by not limited to Payroll, Finance, IT, Cyber Security and SOX.

YOU'RE AWESOME AT:

HCM Implementation

  • Manages all day to day operational and tactical aspects of the entire implementation based on agreed scope as defined in Statement of Work, manage scope creep, ensure change requests are clearly called out, agreed, and impacted against timeline.

  • Demonstrates expertise with preparation of detailed project plans, including activity definition, task sequencing, resources requirements, and duration estimates.

  • Partner and collaborate with HR functional area teams, Payroll, Finance, IT, Cyber Security and SOX.

  • Partners with internal SOX team to identify all necessary documentation throughout implementation and data migration process.

  • Leads internal project team touchbases, and monthly governance calls with cross department teams for project updates.

  • Creates and maintains internal project plan utilizing project management tools.

  • Escalate concerns around project timeline, deliverables or testing to internal teams and implementation vendor(s).

  • Oversees the configuration, customization, and integration of HCM implementation, ensuring accurate data capture and alignment with HR processes and policies.

  • Participate in the Design, Build, Test and Deploy activity of each area of the implementation, integration, and work with functional area teams to ensure understanding and completion of testing.

  • Manages coordination with vendors for all implementation related data integrations, interface files, EDI, and EDT connections between HRIS and external platforms (including other systems, applications and portals used by the organization, and requiring HRIS data).

  • Coordinates all required trainings for functional area team members; as well as partners with the Learning & Development team to create end user training materials, tutorials, and leading office hours for end users.

  • Implement change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of HCM implementation across the organization, including communication plans and stakeholder engagement.

  • Reviews and reconciles HR implementation related invoices/billing against contract terms/headcount.

HR Technology Projects

  • Assumes full responsibility for supervising, planning, and managing highly complex projects consisting of many deliverables, complex dependencies, and significant resource.

  • Successfully manage delivery of end-to-end HR Technology driven projects and manage internal team expectations.

  • Provide leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle and collaborate with project staff to outline work plan.

  • Partner with third party vendors throughout implementation and coordinate with internal stakeholders

  • Acts as a business advocate and liaison for various projects involving system delivered employee data.

  • Proactively identify potential risks and issues related to projects and develops mitigation plans to address them. Ensures data security/management, end-user access and business processes, compliant with SOX requirements.

  • Manage the portfolio of HR system applications and projects: lead and synchronize projects and their interdependencies; define and coordinate resource capacity and availability; facilitate transitions from projects to operations; identify barriers to change and drive organizational change.

  • Develops or implements quality control programs to ensure quality of HR data.

  • Lead all integrations, security, and workflow configuration, testing system changes, set up for report writing and analytics, system and process training and materials, customization, development, maintenance, and upgrades to applications, systems, and modules.

  • Ensures work is performed in compliance with company policies including Privacy/HIPAA and other regulatory, legal, and safety requirements.

EXTRA AWESOME:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience.

  • Certificate in Project Management, preferred.

  • 7-10+ years of HR systems management experience; UKG and Workday experience is preferred.

  • 3+ years of experience leading Workday HCM projects and workstreams.

  • Experience with leading at least 1 end-to-end Workday HCM implementation project.

  • Workday HCM or Workday EM/PM Certified.

  • Experience with project management tools, including but not limited to Asana and Smartsheets.

  • Experience working in an agile delivery environment.

  • Experience in a high volume, fast-paced medical device, biotech, or pharmaceutical environment preferred.

  • Strong computer skills with emphasis on reporting, experience with MS Office and Internet, with a high proficiency in Excel.

  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience or training in Change Management principles.

  • Experience with Sarbanes - Oxley (SOX) Compliance.

  • Proficient in the use of Project Management Tools for planning, work breakdown, scheduling, task estimation, and collaboration.

  • Must be self -driven, and highly motivated.

  • Ability to communicate and influence up to manage project scope and resources.

  • Ability to keep project teams focused, motivated, creatively work to keep the projects on schedule.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize projects or tasks as they are received.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to effectively communicate with all levels of employees.

  • Previous experience with HR systems (Workday preferred, including Core HCM, Benefits, Recruiting, Learning, Absence, Time Tracking, US Payroll, Performance Management, Candidate Engagement, Help and Analytics).

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with persons contacted in the course of performing assigned duties including Company management and outside business associates.

  • Ability to interact with executive management on a regular basis.

  • Ability to represent Tandem at professional and business functions in a competent manner.

  • Excellent advocacy and persuasive skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Ability to organize and prioritize workflow and to meet established timeframes.

  • Ability to assess a problem quickly and determine to what level it should be elevated, directing staff/customers to the correct person(s).

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

The starting base pay range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000 annually. Base pay will vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and may also fluctuate depending on candidate's location and the overall job market. In addition to base pay, Tandem offers a competitive compensation package that includes bonus, equity, and a robust benefits package.

Tandem offers health care benefits such as medical, dental, vision, health savings accounts and flexible saving accounts.
