The Opportunity:

The Sr. HR Systems Governance & Audit Consultant is a new addition to the HR Digital Solutions team and will be a key contributor that supports compliance and risk management for our global HR technologies. We are at a pivotal moment as we improve our existing HR technology infrastructure while shifting to a strengthened ecosystem of applications that supports the overall employee experience and future ways of working. This role will ensure that all HR systems and operational processes comply with internal policies and external regulatory requirements. This role involves managing risks, implementing control mechanisms, overseeing audit processes, and maintaining the integrity of our HR systems.

How you will contribute:

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with HR systems and processes

  • Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures

  • Regularly review and update risk management strategies to adapt to new challenges or changes in the regulatory environment

  • Interpret and translate HR governance requirements

  • Ensure adherence to governance standards for HR systems, including data privacy, security, and compliance

  • Develop and maintain governance frameworks for HR system operations

  • Collaborate with HR, IT, and other stakeholders to align HR system governance with overall organizational policies

  • Coordinate and lead internal and external audits for HR systems which includes but not limited to scope discussions, explain process controls, fulfilling evidence requests and leading recurring security and access audits

  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal policy requirements

  • Address audit findings and implement corrective actions to resolve compliance issues

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations

  • Monitors and audits system changes to ensure system administrators are adhering to standards

  • Develop, implement, and communicate policies and procedures for HR system usage and data handling

  • Train and guide HR systems staff on compliance and risk management best practices

  • Remains abreast of evolving security trends, technologies, and laws (e.g. SOX, etc.) to recommend and implement changes as they arise

  • Prepare and present regular reports on risk assessment, audit results, and compliance status to senior management

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of governance policies, audit trails, and risk management activities

  • Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective risk governance

  • Act as a liaison between the HR Systems team, internal audit, legal department, and external regulators

What you will bring with you?

  • Proven 4+ years experience working in information security, process auditing, or other compliance related area, preferably in HR systems or a similar IT domain

  • IT governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) principles, standards, and best practices (e.g. risk management, governance, information security controls, etc.)

  • ITIL Certification or related experience in risk management for cloud technologies

  • Workday experience preferred

  • Strong understanding of HR systems, data privacy laws, and compliance regulations

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills

  • Ability to interact with a wide range of management levels throughout the organization coupled with a strong ability to influence others

  • Strong systems acumen to quickly learn and adapt to a variety of systems

  • Interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills

  • Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

If you are a California resident, the salary range for this position is:

  • Southern California region: $84,200 - 126,300 annually

  • Central California region: $88,700 - 133,100 annually

  • Northern California region: $94,800 - 142,200 annually

If you are a Colorado resident, the salary range for this position is $80,300 - 120,500 annually

If you are a New York resident, the salary range for this position is $94,800 - 142,200 annually.

If you are Washington resident, the salary range for this position is $88,700 - 133,100 annually.
