As a Senior HR Recruiter on the Americas Recruiting team you will be responsible for driving recruiting success throughout assigned functions of the Company. This will be achieved through the development of local and national recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. The Senior HR Recruiter plays a critical role in ensuring we are hiring and retaining the best possible talent.


  • Maintain open requisitions, both exempt and non-exempt, assist Hiring Managers and HR Business Partners with the requisition approval process and ensure accurate reporting of all open, pending and closed positions utilizing the Company's recruiting tool

  • Perform Intake meetings with Hiring Managers to ensure understanding of skills and experience requirements, timetables and interviewing process for each open position

  • Initiate the recruiting process by ensuring accurate job postings to external job boards, state and/or local unemployment offices, colleges and universities, and niche job boards. Will expand the recruiting avenues to encompass a diverse candidate base and meet affirmative action guidelines

  • Maintain relationships with third party agencies (temp agencies, contingent recruiters), will ensure appropriate contracts are in place, fees are negotiated appropriately

  • Receive all incoming applicant information, prescreen and assess candidates to specifications and coordinate with hiring managers on applicant pool and candidate quality. Will work with Hiring Managers to schedule interviews, gather feedback and refine search if needed. May act as initial interview for certain exempt or management positions and make recommendations for further interview consideration

  • Respond timely to candidates who don't qualify or have not been selected

  • Work with the manager and HR Business Partner to compose offer letters, as needed

  • Act as a liaison during the on-boarding process

  • Work with HR Business Partners to streamline and promote internal posting opportunities

  • Conduct job fairs, campus recruiting and other recruitment programs

  • Develop relationships with local colleges and universities as needed by major Wesco Aircraft offices

  • Understand the recruiting and on-boarding tools and connections to the career site on the company internet website

  • Keep current in legal changes in the recruiting and staffing world and make appropriate recommendations to changes in applications, application processes, and record-keeping processes

  • Accurately update applicant information in appropriate data base

  • Periodic out of state travel to attend job fairs, etc. will be required

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred; HR certifications preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in recruiting is required including exempt hiring practices and procedures

  • Demonstrated ability to interpret, explain and instruct employees in the processes, procedures and the particulars of various recruiting practices with a "specialist-level" competency

  • Demonstrated ability to work well within multiple levels of the Company and a diverse population of internal customers

  • Proven knowledge of the DOL, Federal and State employment laws, and EEO and Affirmative Action requirements

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills

  • Clear and accurate data entry and documentation skills

  • Strong follow-through and perseverance to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Excellent customer service skills and communication skills, both verbally and in writing

  • Strong competency working with HRIS data systems and utilization of third-party websites; also Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and intermediate to advanced Word and Excel (i.e., spreadsheets, formulas, importing and exporting of files, as applicable) as required

  • Final candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen, criminal and employment background clearance

This position requires use of information which is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). To conform to U.S. Government export regulations/ITAR, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Job Summary: The System Recruiter – Volunteer Services works with campus managers to source, develop volunteer pipelines, market and recruit volunteers. Partners with Service Line Coordinator and Sr. Manager to formulate strategy for attracting a diverse volunteer population to serve in many different categories of volunteer service. Works with campus leadership to identify departments where volunteers can enhance our patent experience and increase the band-with of the team. It is the recruiter's responsibility to take detailed information from the campus leader and create volunteer guidelines for each volunteer roll. The System Recruiter will also work to identify and build a team of Volunteer Ambassadors in each department where volunteers are assigned and equip behavior them with the training and tools needed to successfully supervise and retain their volunteers.
