Job Title: Sr HR Generalist-Supervisor

Job Overview

This is a Generalist role responsible for the day-to-day activities of the HR services function including but not limited to HR compliance, policy interpretation, recruiting, benefits administration, employee relations, training and development and continuous improvement. This role will supervise a team and will primarily be responsible for managing the HR compliance, policy development/management and recruiting vendor management enterprise-wide, as well as business partner duties for the Corporate Headquarters.


Essential Functions and

Responsibilities:
  • Partner with business leaders to implement the standardization and simplification of HR practices and offerings to increase efficiency.

  • Manage the recruitment vendor relationship and partner with internal/external recruitment resources. Lead recruitment activities including interviewing and evaluating candidates for select positions when necessary. Partner with business leaders to develop and roll out ideas to grow a robust talent pipeline and conduct workforce planning. Responsible for managing the Affirmative Action Plan process. Ensure compliance with all state and Federal laws.

  • Provide advice, counsel and follow-up on company programs, policies, procedures, and documentation. Serve as front-line resource in assisting both employees and management with HR-related questions providing for total customer satisfaction. Deliver front-line support for employee relations in terms of potential issues and investigations, and fielding questions on policies, leave administration, performance management and other employee-related concerns.

  • Perform project management duties to support and/or lead the development and enhancement of company-wide strategies, programs, policies and guidelines.

  • Manage on-boarding and on-going culture integration by supporting communication initiatives and driving consistent messaging. Manage employee engagement activities and events at the Corporate Headquarters.

  • Analyze statistics on recruiting, employee activities, and terminations to identify trends and recommend solutions. Complete retention interviews and exit interviews as appropriate. Identify opportunities and areas of concern requiring follow up.

  • Implement talent management initiatives including employee engagement, performance management, employee training, organizational development, and succession planning.

  • Develop and deliver training programs to support the evolving needs of the company. Manage the strategy and implementation of rolling out more robust LMS usage.

  • Manage the performance, delegation of work and overall development of assigned HR team members

  • Acts as a resource for colleagues.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree in human resources, organizational development, business administration, or related field.

  • Minimum 5 years human resources experience across all ranges of HR disciplines.

  • SHRM-CP/SCP, CCP, CBP desired

  • Strong working knowledge of human resource disciplines to include: employee relations, organizational diagnosis and development, compensation practices, performance management and career development. Experience in handling immigration-related support to new hires. Previous experience implementing and/or managing Affirmative Action Plans directly or through a vendor.

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with constantly changing demands. Demonstrated ability to manage and drive to completion several ongoing projects and commitments.

  • Demonstrated capability to manage and perform high volume recruiting practices to assist operations in staying staffed and ensure a robust talent pipeline.

  • Technically savvy with high-level of proficiency in Microsoft office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with Peoplesoft and ATS systems preferred.

  • Able to work through necessary channels to accomplish outcomes in fast-paced setting; understanding of processes and continuous improvement.

  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills. Able to drive change and facilitate internal communication processes. Demonstrated coaching/consulting and conflict resolution skills. Must possess capacity to quickly build collaborative relationships. Able to effectively influence and manage crucial conversations with key stakeholders.

  • Detail-oriented, service-oriented, and results-oriented. Must have a high sense of urgency and customer service focus. Strong focus on service delivery to internal customers while supporting alignment with broader organization. Must build and develop relationships and be able to absorb and translate others' statements into objective responses and actions.

  • Must be able to travel in accordance with business needs.

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
