Working closely with Human Resources (HR) management, the Senior HR Coordinator is responsible for administrative transactions, communication and problem solving in regards to routine tasks, projects, policies and procedures as they relate to core HR services, processes, and programs. The Senior HR Coordinator will also partner with the HR Manager regarding employee relations, personnel administration, risk management, compliance and associate training. Maintains accurate employee records/files both electronically (HR database) and in hard copy format. Provides assistance to other department members, as needed.


  • Manages the coordination's and execution of the on-boarding process of new associates; including the facilitation of New Hire Orientation.

  • Manage all payroll processing request including accurate time reporting, earnings request, bonus processing, and payroll register audit.

  • In partnership with the HR Manager (or HR Department) and the Training Manager, assists in developing solutions, programs and policies.

  • Processes all termination within the system and coordinates pay request.

  • Conducts separation meetings as necessary.

  • Systematically administers all leaves of absence within payroll and leave tracking system.

  • Ensures compliance with Federal/State laws and postings.

  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation to associates and supervisors.

  • Administers various HR plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; works cooperatively with HR Manager (or others in the HR Department) on updates of employee handbook and policies and procedures.

  • Back-up for HR Manager and Training Manager, as needed

  • Works closely with HR Manager, Recruiter, Training Manager, Sales/Marketing and The Launch Team in managing the integration of staff from takeover accounts; coordinating the new hire orientation and benefits administration, so that assimilation of the new staff is seamless.

  • Collaborate with the Training Manager to ensure training goals are continually evaluated, met and communicated with direct supervisors and regional leadership team(s).

  • Assist the HR and Training Manager with facilitation of various operational and associate training; including group and individual training sessions.

  • Assists the department in carrying out various human resources (including training) programs, projects, and procedures, and manages correspondence for all associates.

  • Draft and coordinate HR communication to go out to Associates, prepare content for regional/corporate offices, newsletters, etc...

  • Draft and maintain department calendar with key dates, project schedules, etc...

  • Assist in administration of compensation program, associate incentive programs, and helps to monitor performance appraisal process including on-boarding plans and 90 day new associate survey. Analyze and disseminate relevant information.

  • Maintains Human Resources Information System records and compiles reports from database as needed.

  • Verifies I9 documentation, trains Regional Verifiers and maintains compliance.

  • Act as the primary contact for the HR Team and performs customer service functions by answering associate requests and questions or directing associates to the correct point of contact.

  • Able to begin the employee relations (ER) process and research employee background with respect to manager concerns with assistance from HR Manager and/or HR Director.

  • Responsible for employee files, data retention, and maintenance of employee files.

  • With direction from the HR and Training Manager, schedule, coordinate and track training, to ensure compliance for all associates.

  • Other duties and projects as assigned.


High School Diploma required

College Degree or equivalent experience with California HR processes preferred.
