Position Summary:

The Senior HR Business Partner will partner with HR leaders, executives, and management staff on organizational development, organizational effectiveness, employee relations development, and communications that support the hospital's mission, vision, strategic plan, and operations. Additional responsibilities include oversight over a variety of programs and policies, often encompassing several areas of human resources, including organizational development, operations, recruiting, compensation, benefits, leaves, workers compensation, employee engagement, event planning, project management and/or training. The HR Business Partner will facilitate the delivery of HR programs and services to support the business objectives in partnership with HR team leaders and staff.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 7 plus years progressive experience in Human Resources including organizational development, talent acquisition, employee relations and communication, training and learning development.

  • A Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience in Human Resources, preferably in an acute care setting.

  • A Master's degree is a plus.

  • Certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR or SPHR) is a plus.

VIEW JOBS 9/11/2018 12:00:00 AM 2018-12-10T00:00 Overview The HRBP supports the CLG HR team in providing HR services to the designated group for which he or she is assigned. The main areas of support would be managing full cycle recruitment, full cycle new hire process and onboarding. Review hr administrative functions and audit as needed. Attend, conduct and participate on major HR events such as job fair, work activities and more. Handling routine general inquiries from the employee population. Attend to and service the client's requirements regarding overall personnel population's needs such as hiring, recruitment, agencies, benefits, employee relations, investigations, etc.. The role will be responsible for providing general data production to HR Director. The role will also work closely with the CLG HR team to ensure all requirements are properly cared for. This role will also need to ensure HR data is handled timely and efficiently. The HRBP works independently with limited supervision and makes appropriate human resources decisions for their specific business unit. Responsibilities * Conduct on-boarding processes, to include issuance of offer letters, administer pre-employment checks, coordinate and facilitate onboarding orientation, coordinate the paperwork flow to the HR team, and arrange schedules and time tables for events and programs. * Conduct and assist in diciplinary process up to and including termination of assignment by issuance of termination letters and other documentation, ensuring timely termination of payroll and other benefits. Similarly, responsible for any last day pay check distribution. * Support recruitment activities as necessary, including: managing interview schedules, conducting pre-screen interviews, and general communication with applicants. * Work closely with Vendor Management Specialist to assist with buildings labor needs. * Assist the HR Department in training and other project roll out as needed, such as: participating and facilitating trainings, reconciling and consolidating training information, and monitoring progress towards desired results. * Respond to and communicate with customers/clients on routine inquiries as required. * Act as first level responders to Employee Relations issues. * Conduct and participate in investigations, preparations of documentations, as required. * *Sevice a group of 300+ employees in different buildings within the Long Beach campus. * Wok in a close knit team. Minimum Required Qualifications * To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Undergraduate degree in a relevant subject is preferred. * Must have HR role experience of a minim of 2 years. * Experience in similar industry is preferred. * Associate/Temp Labor Management knowledge/experience is required. * PHR/SPHR/CP or S-CP Preferred. * Bilingual of the Spanish language is highly preferred. * Must possess excellent customer service skills with the ability to grasp extensive knowledge while dealing with a variety of people. * Strong research techniques, attention to detail and analytical skills are required. * Must have strong administrative, organizational and time management skills. * Requires a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism. * Must be able to work independently with little to no direct supervision. * Must have the ability to make decisions regarding HR related issues and matters for the business unit with limited direction. * Must have Employment Law knowledge in State he/she will be servicing. * This is a 24 hours a day 7 day operations, business will be conducted during normal business hours; however, right candidate will be able to have flexible working hours to ensure that all clients and different shifts are properly attended to.
