The Sr. Human Resources Business Partner is a hybrid position requiring three days a week in our Centennial, Colorado office.

Salary range: $99,466 - $117,624 per year

Closing date: Friday, May 31st, 2024

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • PHR, SPHR, or other HR certifications.

  • Bachelor's in human resource management or equivalent education and/or experience.

  • Five plus years of HR industry experience with strong knowledge in a broad range of HR functional areas especially employee relations.

  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and regulations, with a proven track record of implementing effective HR strategies and programs.

  • Proven track record of proactively identifying areas for improvement, taking the lead on projects, and driving them to completion.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience as a consultant and advisor to management in key human resources areas, including employee relations, employment law, performance coaching, and management.

  • Solid background in HR practices and strong knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations.

  • Proven ability to effectively handle complex employee relations matters. Trained in internal investigations.

  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and understanding of group dynamics. Successful track record of establishing credibility and trust with a diverse client group.

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, judgment, negotiating, influencing, and decision-making skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.

  • Strong collaborative skills to work with cross-functional teams and HR colleagues.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with business applications, such as Microsoft Office suite and human resource information systems, UKG preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to plan and accomplish multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining a high degree of organizational responsiveness.

  • Experience with change management is a plus.

Essential Functions:

  • Establish strong partnerships with the business to understand its strategic objectives, challenges, and talent needs. Proactively provide guidance and support on HR matters to drive the achievement of business goals.

  • Proactively identifies business issues and opportunities throughout the organization. Challenges assumptions to help define opportunities recommends solutions based on business knowledge and HR expertise. Communicates and influences the case for initiating a business change to key stakeholders, overcomes resistance, and measures impact.

  • Partner with leaders to attract, motivate, develop, and retain the best talent in support of the business. Influence positive performance outcomes for the team members and the business through HR expertise, data, and strong relationships.

  • Guide managers on performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, feedback, and development plans. Help establish a culture of partnering for performance to drive team member growth and development.

  • Provide guidance and support on team member relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and investigations. Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations. Effectively conduct formal reviews as warranted and recommend any action steps based on data gathered.

  • Recommend organizational development strategies to leaders, including quality improvement, performance enhancement approaches, and problem-solving by analyzing departmental trends and performance outcomes. Conducts assessments, gap analysis, and strategy development for individual learning and organizational development.

  • Lead initiatives to support our company's organizational culture, promoting inclusivity, collaboration, and team member engagement through the implementation of targeted programs and activities.

  • Contribute to department budget, goals, objectives, and technology solutions. Recommend new approaches, guidelines, and procedures to automate and benchmark data to continually improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the human resources function and organization.

  • Drive assigned HR projects/programs for implementation and impact across the organization.

  • Work as the ambassador of the HR department to represent the services and resources available to team members and help lead the collective reputation of the HR team.

  • Integrate Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and belonging initiatives into everyday HR activities ensuring equitable approaches to provide growth opportunities for team members.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Serve as backup to peers and/or the Director of HR as needed.

  • Perform special projects and additional duties and responsibilities as requested.

Working Conditions:

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • No physical effort beyond that is typically required in a normal office environment.

  • Regular exposure to a computer screen.

  • This position is a hybrid role that requires at least three days per week in the office based on the organization's needs.

  • Some evenings and weekends may be required.
