The Sr. Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is a key member of the HR team, providing support and counsel to managers for a wide variety of business initiatives including but not limited to employee relations, compensation, organizational development, leaves of absence, international and recruiting. The Sr. HR Business Partner must be effective at building strong relationships across the organization to deliver value-added service to management and employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with key leaders to support people initiatives aligned to growth and innovation including organizational design, workforce planning, employee engagement, and change management.

  • Provide strong consultation, coaching, and guidance to people managers to build capability and a high performance work culture focused on delivering results, nurturing relationships, building morale, and increasing productivity and retention.

  • Provide counsel and guidance to front line management on simple to complex employee relations issues and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws.

  • Lead and craft talent initiatives to build organizational capability including talent development, compensation planning, performance management, and career pathing.

  • Review and analyze business data to identify trends, influence action, and support decision making.

  • Participate in design and administration of Coinstar's compensation programs, including job evaluation, market analysis, annual compensation review, and special compensation projects.

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees in order to ensure regulatory compliance and reduce legal risks; partner with legal department as needed/required.

  • Partner with HR leadership in conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred, or the equivalent work experience.

  • 7+ years' HR Business Partner/Generalist experience inclusive of working knowledge of recruiting, compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, performance management, and federal and state employment laws required; international and in-depth compensation experience desired.

  • HRIS experience required; UltiPro experience a plus.

  • PHR/SPHR or equivalent a plus.

  • Proficient in MS Office

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Demonstrated track record in multiple HR disciplines including compensation, change management, talent management, organizational diagnosis and planning, employee relations, diversity, performance management, federal and state employment laws.

  • Strong critical-thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proven experience in influencing, coaching, and developing leaders.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence and partner at all levels of the organization to achieve results.

  • Proven success at developing strong relationships in order to gain support and achieve results.

  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.

  • Ability to operate effectively and comfortably when dealing with ambiguity.

  • Must be self-directed, motivated and results oriented.

  • Attention to detail with a high concern for accuracy, confidentiality and discretion.

Business Travel

  • This position requires little to no business travel.

Pay and Benefits

The typical starting salary range for this position is $110,574 - $128,543. For Washington State or jurisdictions that require the publication of the full pay scale or salary range information, the entire salary range for this position is between $94,998 and $165,862. Coinstar utilizes geographically based pay ranges, within the United States, which allows us to pay competitively and consistently based on location. Within the range for the applicable geographic area, individual pay is determined by several factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share the salary range specific to your location. Short-Term and Long-Term bonus incentives are a part of the total compensation package and are based on Company and Individual performance.

Physical Requirements

Sedentary work involves remaining in a stationary position most of the time in front of a computer, using a keyboard, mouse and telephone. Regularly operate a computer and other office equipment. Occasionally move about the work site to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc. Exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or regularly move objects. Communicate and exchange information with co-workers and other individuals in person and electronically.
