Overview

The Senior Graphic Designer position works closely with UTI's internal teams and contributes to the great work we do every day to evolve the brand. This role will own the concept and development of marketing materials and online content that supports brand vision and drives results. This role requires a self-motivated individual with a passion for design, strong conceptual thought, and the ability to manage contractors, agency partners and junior resources for success. Strong branding and production skills that work across print, digital and social platforms are a must.

Responsibilities

  • Creates and produces designs that can be used across multiple platforms (both print and digital) that align with the organization's strategy.

  • Strong time management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Collaborates with team members and can manage large projects from concept to completion. Takes the lead on larger and more complex projects, while providing mentorship to others.

  • Maintains brand consistency on all work and acts as a brand ambassador for all work produced outside of the creative team.

  • Capture or source new photography and video content for campaigns as necessary.

  • Helps manage and maintain company creative assets.

  • Contributes to improvements in production workflow to keep the creative team run efficiently and effectively.

  • Assistance with special projects as needed.

Qualifications

Education / Experience

  • Associates degree in Graphic Design is preferred or equivalent experience and demonstrated ability required (Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design a plus).

  • Minimum of five - seven years' experience as a graphic designer or similar in an agency or marketing team environment required.

  • Powerful portfolio that demonstrates a passion for design, strategy and execution.

  • Solid experience working across a variety of media (print, digital and social).

  • Demonstrated success with sophisticated graphic designs, own the concept and development of marketing materials and online content that supports brand vision and drives results

  • Prior management of junior resources or contractors is a plus.

  • Creative problem-solver, with solid strategic design experience.

  • Firm understanding of print-production process and related technology.

  • Photo shoot production experience preferred.

  • Able to work on a Mac platform.

  • Proficient in latest design tools (Adobe Creative Cloud).

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Abilities

  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 5 pounds 5% or less of the workday.

  • Must be able stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl 5% or less of the workday.

  • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods throughout the workday.

  • Must be able to use a keyboard and do manual tasks for prolonged periods.

Work Environment

  • Corporate home office environment.

Periodic travel required.
