POSITION PROFILE

The Senior Graphic Communications Sales Executive is directly responsible for selling the full portfolio of Ricoh products and software solutions to Graphic Communications / Commercial Print accounts, with heavy focus to the Ricoh Production solutions portfolio, which includes: Ricoh's full suite of Production Color and Monochrome Cut Sheet and Continuous Feed Hardware, Software and Services solutions. The Senior GCSE's responsibility is to sell into a pre-defined account base, consisting of medium and large commercial print, direct mail, fulfillment centers and graphic arts accounts. In addition, they are to manage defined Franchise Print & Services Network accounts. They are to provide Graphic Communications experience allowing them to bring value to business owners in this unique and growing Vertical. They act as the Production Solutions and Graphic Communications Vertical expert, as well as the Account Manager.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for spearheading RICOH's penetration and expansion in the key Graphic Communications Vertical (Commercial Print, Direct Mail, Print for Pay and Graphic Arts) accounts, through the development of a targeted customer strategy that includes customer segmentation, customer awareness activities and establishing a customer relationship.

  • Educated accounts within their assignment of the Ricoh Production Value Proposition, gaining credibility and consideration.

  • Manages, protects and develops territory base by analyzing and developing solutions for new and existing customer business communication requirements. Supports production strategies, products, and equipment within assigned territory.

  • Meet or exceeds unit, revenue and gross profit expectations including ongoing page growth within assigned territory.

  • Prepares and presents benchmark demonstrations, proposals, and value propositions within account assignment, utilizing product and/or technical resources -- as needed.

  • Develop strategies to penetrate ZBA (zero base account) opportunities, including reference selling.

  • Retains and grows current client base by selling incremental solutions and services within their base accounts, and through customer satisfaction.

  • As Account Manager, takes ownership for the resolution of any ongoing issues within an account within their assignment, utilizing the necessary local, regional and national resources needed.

  • Maintains records of all account activity within Ricoh provided sales database and CRM tool. Serves as first line of contact with client in the creation and maintenance of accurate paperwork on each sale.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)

Typically Required:

  • 4-year college degree or equivalent experience in a related field

  • Minimum of five (5) years business to business sales experience with 2 years of advanced selling assignments

  • Minimum of two (2) years Digital Production Printing and Solutions sales experience

  • Minimum of 5-10 years successful track record in capital equipment sales in the Digital Printing Solutions and/or Graphic Communications Industry is preferred

Additional responsibilities include technical support, data analysis, report creation and application development. Utilizes software tools such as Access, Excel and SQL to develop, generate, and format reports, presentations and pricing applications as needed. Evaluates and re-engineers existing processes for enhanced productivity towards information dissemination to Pricing Analysts. The Sr. Analyst is responsible for implementation and maintenance of databases and pricing applications as well as creating linkage with IT into ERP systems and databases. Pricing application maintenance involves a highly technical skill set as well as the ability to develop code, macros, or reuse existing code for troubleshooting. Takes initiative to identify and resolve issues and inconsistencies around pricing data in related systems. Collaborates with Marketing and Sales to review and execute new product strategies by providing required data/tools and communication to Pricing Operations. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Develop and maintain Pricing applications, consolidated tools and databases to incorporate all pricing and data elements required for Pricing Operations * Provides advanced data analysis and report creation to meet the needs of Pricing Operations, Marketing, Sales & Finance. Data sources will be varied. Analysis and reporting tools will include but not limited to Access, SQL and OBIEE (Oracle/ERP) databases * Coordinates with Product Marketing to incorporate retail price, cost and other product details of Ricoh's direct portfolio into required pricing tools and systems * Coordinates with Technical Services to incorporate cost changes into pricing tools and systems to account for ongoing market changes * Performs detailed analysis of market conditions and projected price points (Hardware, Technical Services, and other Services) on market and past opportunity data (Gap Intelligence, BLI, IDC, etc.). * Provides assistance to end users to research data anomalies, provide technical support, and communicate process/reporting procedures. * Manage extraction of data points required to perform in depth pricing analysis. * Collects data from multiple data sources (structured & unstructured) to identify trends and key points for management review * Identifies and develops benchmarks for performance comparisons. Analyzes business and user needs and makes recommendations for process or operational improvements. * Supports various projects by acting as a project team leader and/or a project team member. * Collaborates with cross functional groups to develop, design programs and process improvements in anticipation of business needs * Works with Sr. Manager to create ad hoc reporting and analysis as assigned QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications) * Bachelor's Degree (Finance, Computer Science, Economics or Engineering) or equivalent experience * 5+ years Finance experience with ability to understand cost, revenue and financial planning * 3+ years data analytics experience with a focus on statistical analysis (BI tools preferred) * 3+ years in a pricing or sales support related position KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES * Strong analytic skills in a financial and pricing capacity * Expert user of Excel and Access (SQL knowledge also preferred) * Comfortable working with large relational databases and data sets (structured & unstructured) in multiple formats * Strong presentation, communication and organizational skills * Direct experience with working with sales people in a pricing role * Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Ricoh is an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer -- Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled.
