In this role, you'll develop production plans and provide inventory management for multiple product categories while working with contractors on a daily basis. This position entails exciting global exposure and the opportunity to experience multiple cultures while managing and monitoring global inventories and production levels. Based in our corporate office in Kenosha, WI, you'll work to steer inventory per the essential Supply Chain Planning parameters like production frequency, lead times, capacity and related planning horizons. Senior Global Supply Chain Planner will interface with Merchandising, Demand Planners, Product Development, Contract Manufacturers, Customer Service, Transportation, Sourcing, Suppliers and other key stake holders on a day to day basis.

Job Scope:

  • Provides a leadership role in promoting planning concepts, management and alignment throughout multiple sites, organizations, and businesses.

  • Support front-line service providers to deliver consistent quality product and customer service.

  • Accountable for developing Supply Plans to promote and support execution for achieving Customer Service levels and inventory turns per agreed target levels.

  • Actively participate and support new product introduction to ensure that supply plans are optimally created and are executed in support of the established timelines

  • Communicate decisions and supply impacts to all stakeholders, escalation and prioritization of supply responses around all issues and opportunities impacting customer service to stakeholder.

  • Monitor forecast changes for assigned skus. Provide recommendations to management of schedule adjustments necessary to accommodate changes. Advise when service level issues are projected.

  • Accountable for developing what-if supply scenarios and develop recommendations in response to actual or anticipated changes in demand or supply

  • Accountable for developing what-if supply scenarios to continuously improve performance relating to both service levels and total costs thru continuous evaluation of supply, outsourcing strategies, product strategies and the positioning of inventory across the network.

  • Partner with Sourcing Team to define and implement an integrated supply strategy for global manufacturing

  • Achieve and maintain a thorough understanding of all planning systems (JBA, JDA, SCM, PLM).

  • Maintain system data integrity to ensure accuracy of system information.

  • Accountable for developing and maintaining a valid end to end supply plan for assigned global manufacturing sites - both short term and long term views

  • Active participant in the Global Product Strategy process to ensure product life cycle is maintained, with supply/inventory plans aligned to defined strategies and support product level SI&OP reviews

  • Identifies and drives resolution of supply constraints due to material or capacity

  • Provide input to the Global Supply Review process to incorporate major supply issues to the plan and any major deviations to the budget and/or previous plan.

  • Jointly with Sourcing Team, actively support the Supplier Relationship Programs by providing collaborative, rolling, long term production requirements and supply performance metrics for planning engagements

  • Provide contractors projections of production needs monthly as an output of the capacity planning process.

  • Provide direction and/or assistance to contractors when dealing with production delays; act as a liaison for communication with SBUs and management.

  • Work with contractors and Transportation to determine the best shipment methods.

  • Work with Sourcing and contractors to manage MOQ/MCQ's for Jockey's business needs, balancing inventory requirements with sourcing costs.

  • Develop strong relationships inside and outside the organization including Business Units, demand planners, sourcing team leads, product development leads, distribution and support groups worldwide, finance, quality and account services.

  • Drive a lean process by implementing Kanban, just-in-time, postponement and other materials strategies to reduce inventory while increasing delivery.

  • In conjunction with the rest of the Global Supply Chain (GSC) functional teams to ensure policies and procedures are in place which meet compliance requirements

  • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and an understanding of the global practices where business is conducted

  • Provide training and drive continuous improvement for areas where identified as a Process Owner. Including system maintenance, troubleshooting, and being the team lead on system upgrades.

  • Act as a training resource for Supply Planners and work to implement best practices in the department. Creates and distributes business process definitions and documents

  • Facilitate the weekly Supply Chain and/or business unit meeting as assigned.

  • Assist in high profile product launches and other new company initiatives/projects.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of supply chain management and planning experience for a reputed, global or multi-plant consumer product company utilizing world class supply chain planning and execution processes.

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain/Operations Management, Business, or relevant field desired. Minimum of Associates degree.

  • Progressive experience with site capacity planning and/or global product supply planning. Knowledge of apparel sales and operations planning processes are desired.

  • Experience with ERP and Advanced Planning Systems (preferably JDA).

  • Exposure to (or experience in) apparel manufacturing process, principles and practices; preferably at production site and headquarters level.

  • Ability to thrive in a highly cooperative teamwork environment and provide timely and effective communication on the status of production. Occasional travel to production locations may be required, as well as extended work hours as needed.
