A Day in the Life
The Global Market Development Manager is responsible for developing and leading execution of the global launch and growth strategy for the endoscopic resection platform and ensuring revenue and profitability targets are achieved globally. This role will work closely with the regional marketing and cross functional teams to ensure local translation and execution of the global plan is achieved including, value proposition, pricing strategy, commercial plans and tactics and performance measures with an emphasis on patient access and business expansion. The Global Market Development Manager reports to the Director of Global Marketing.The position will be located in Sunnyvale, CA.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Develop and lead execution of global launch plans for the endoscopic resection portfolio.
Create and refresh short (one year) and long term (four year) global market development plans to inform the annual operating plan (AOP) and strategic planning processes.
Lead development of regional business and market development strategies and support execution by driving accountability and measuring and reporting results to senior leadership quarterly.
Continually evaluate and recommend timely adjustments of disease state strategy and execution tactics to meet changing market and competitive conditions, including revision of associated market models.
Identify key global market opportunities for share gain and category growth, leveraging market research and VOC to assess market opportunities and trends.
Represent the global business and be the subject matter expert during the Patient Access Accelerator (PAA) process, with the goal of developing strategies and measurable action plans to overcome regional barriers to adoption and improve patient access to our technologies.
Maintain a regular communication pathway with all regional marketing partners to share best practices, ensure alignment and measure progress.
Establish strong relationships with influential healthcare professionals including those in clinical and health economics.
Lead key opinion leader (KOL) and medical society/advocate strategy in therapeutic endoscopy in conjunction with the Medical Affairs team to establish care guidelines, guide clinical evidence & value based care initiatives to establish programs that drive acceptance of key procedures.
Participate in the development of key marketing collateral and necessary branding materials required to grow the assigned business and ensure safe and effective use of our products globally.
Cross Functional Collaboration
Build influential partnerships across regional marketing, sales, medical affairs, HEPR and other groups to ensure the global operating plan is achieved.
Work with the Product Innovation Manager to influence investment decisions in technologies, therapies and services by leveraging subject matter expertise and global market insights.
Contribute to an environment of collaboration, trust, achievement and high engagement.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree required
Minimum of 7 years of experience is required in two or more of the following functions in the medical device space: product marketing, market development or sales, with a minimum of 5 years in a direct marketing role or an advanced degree with five years of experience in two or more of the following functions in the medical device space: product marketing, market development or sales
Nice to Have
Experience influencing teams and working in a matrix organization.
Strong and on-time execution focus with stakeholders including sales teams in a dynamic environment with an ability to be agile.
Experience working with key societies and physician leaders to develop and execute strategic initiatives.
Strong quantitative, analytical, written and verbal skills.
Proven track record of planning and execution.
Ability to balance development of strategy plus experience in bringing that strategy to life through execution.
Executing in the shared service organization, business acumen and strong interpersonal skills.
