Position Description

Sam's Club Experience Protection Decision Sciences team is a high performing team looking to expand in order to deliver scalable and efficient data/web based solutions aligned with Sam's Club priorities. If you are highly driven, love taking ownership to solve problems and are willing to continually learn by experimenting with new solutions, this role could be a great fit for you.

We are looking for someone who is resourceful and enjoys working on multiple aspects of application development (including developing front end web designs or back end data infrastructure or maintaining production applications), preferably a full-stack application developer with an analytical bend of mind. In addition, we want someone who can wear multiple hats and switch between development of web based applications or analytical solutions (e.g. application of machine learning techniques, building BI/Visualization tools etc..) depending on the team priorities.

Leads and participates in medium- to large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects by reviewing project requirements; translating requirements into technical solutions; gathering requested information (for example, design documents, product requirements, wire frames); writing and developing code; conducting unit testing; communicating status and issues to team members and stakeholders; collaborating with project team and cross functional teams; troubleshooting open issues and bug-fixes; enhancing design to prevent reoccurrences of defects; ensuring on-time delivery and hand-offs; interacting with project manager to provide input on project plan; and providing leadership to the project team.

Leads the work of other small groups of six to ten engineers, including offshore associates, for assigned Engineering projects by providing pertinent

documents, direction, and examples; identifying short- and long- term solutions and timeline; reviewing and approving proposed solutions; implementing new architectural patterns; and performing design and code reviews of changes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science and 6 years' experience in software engineering OR Master of Science and 3 years' experience in software engineering

As a Sr. Manager II, Credit Card Analytics & Reporting, you will be responsible for creating, managing and presenting reports to reflect the performance of the Walmart Credit Card Program. Your key responsibilities, among others, will include analyzing a diverse portfolio of initiatives, reporting on the key performance indicators for the Walmart Credit Card Program, planning and forecasting financial metrics, and driving the execution of multiple business projects. Who you would work for: This position reports to Gabriel Arbelaez, Director of Walmart Financial Services Things you'll do everyday: * Conduct product research – Support the business with insights drawn from industry research and data analytics * Build executive level decks to effectively communicate insights and state of the business to leadership and multiple business partners * Manage data ownership and data flows between Walmart and suppliers – Walmart shares sensitive information with suppliers and this associate will be responsible for pulling data, verifying accuracy, scrubbing proprietary information and securely transfer data to suppliers * Manage daily, weekly, monthly reports on business KPI's * Collaborate with multiple teams to customize reports to help Stores understand goals and performance * Collaborate with the Credit Card team to ensure technology implementations work well at the stores and all digital channels * Collect and analyze data for multiple ad-hoc projects related to Walmart Financial Services * Ensure business needs are being met by evaluating the effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives. Consult with business partners and key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost effectiveness * Travel domestically to and from multiple facilities or work-sites requiring consecutive overnight stays. Minimum Qualifications * Bachelor s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Engineering, or related field and 4 years' experience in consumer services industry, project management, product management, finance, marketing, merchandising, process improvement, retail operations, technology, or related field OR 6 years' experience in consumer services industry, project management, product management, finance, marketing, merchandising, process improvement, retail operations, technology, or related field.
