Overview
The Senior Financial Analyst, Global FP&A, provides financial planning, reporting and analysis for the Distribution and Logistics Finance team. This individual will support a spectrum of business activities from high-level financial overviews for monthly and quarterly reporting to detailed variance analysis. This is a dynamic role that combines critical thinking, development of logistics industry knowledge, and building strong business partner relationships to influence and lead improved decision-making. It is ideal for someone who wants to learn and use operational insights to guide financial success.
What You'll Do
Drive Annual Operating Plan and quarterly forecasts for multi-brand Global Logistics network.
Prepare monthly journal entries using business insight in the monthly close process to ensure accuracy in financials.
Complete month-end variance analysis to forecast and budget, generating reporting materials.
Drive recommendations for improvement in execution for modeling and analysis of global logistics spend.
Establish strong, collaborative working relationships; maintain ongoing and consistent communications with key business partners.
Build detailed financial models used for planning of freight expenses to provide accuracy and understanding among leadership.
Provide support onboarding and relationship development of freight auditor and determine standard processes to integrate into accruals and reporting.
Provide project based support for business cases across global D&L functions.
Generate materials for senior leadership and the board of directors.
Generate/create ad-hoc reports and analyses.
What You'll Bring to the Table
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or Economics, MBA a plus and 3+ years of related work experience.
Self-motivated and eager to learn.
Strong technical abilities demonstrating robust knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Experience with budgeting and forecasting techniques and proficiency with financial analysis.
Ability to meet critical deadlines when necessary.
Prior experience with SAP, SAP BPC, and Microsoft Power BI a plus.
Knowledge of accounting procedures.
Coachable and independent.
Adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
Limited travel may be required of this position.
