Cordia Resources is working with an exciting startup manufacturing company with a national footprint! They are searching for a Sr. Fixed Assets Accountant for their manufacturing facility. Candidate will be responsible for:
Record the fixed asset acquisition, capitalization, and ongoing accounting process with opportunities to grow and expand responsibilities.
Review fixed assets PO requests
Partner with various business units including Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering and Project Management to efficiently monitor work-in process sub-ledgers
Review the monthly processing and recognition of fixed assets additions/disposals in accounting system.
Manage the assignment of fixed asset tags to new assets.
Reconcile fixed asset sub-ledger vs. general ledger and prepare fixed assets roll-forward for the manufacturing Operations.
Perform various fixed assets analyses (depreciation schedules and reviews)
Assist with periodic Fixed Asset physical inventory count.
Provide audit (internal/external) support (i.e. pull relevant fixed assets support and address various inquiries).
Work on special projects as needed.
Candidate should have the following experience:
BS in Accounting or similar background
5+ years of experience in Fixed Assets accounting
Recent (within the last 2 years) experience in a manufacturing environment
2+ years of public accounting experience preferred
CPA designation preferred, but not required
Large ERP experience (Oracle, SAP, or Workday preferred)
Proficient with Microsoft Excel - Experience working with large volumes of data.
Highly effective communication skills (verbal and written)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to develop strong partnerships and influence people effectively.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
