Job Summary:

This is an intermediate level professional position that requires an in-depth knowledge and experience of accounting and operating processes. Senior Financial Accounting Analysts / Senior Financial Reporting Analysts are expected to use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services. They solve complex problems, work independently, and act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

This role will be supporting the Disney Parks, Experiences and Products (DPEP) Segment of The Walt Disney Company in one of many capacities - either through Segment Reporting, Business Unit Reporting, or one of the many dynamic functional roles which may focus on Capital Reporting, Financial Instruments, Balance Sheet Accounting, Leases, Fixed Assets, Cost Center Reporting, and more.

DPEP businesses include the Theme Parks & Resorts, Experiences (Disney Cruise Line, Disney Vacation Club, Adventures & Expeditions, and StoryLiving by Disney), and Consumer Products (Retail, Games, Publishing, & Licensing).

What you get to do: The Financial Reporting and Tax Analyst needs to be a dynamic and experienced accountant who is able to multi-task, work well independently and in a team setting, be detail oriented and meet deadlines. This position will have a dual reporting structure to both the Financial Reporting Manager and the Tax Director and will play a critical role in the Company's SEC financial reporting, equity-based compensation and tax accounting tasks. * Assist in the preparation of all of the Company's SEC filings (Forms 10K, 10Q, 8K, proxy) to ensure quality and timely compliance. Assist in preparing the GAAP Checklist to ensure compliance with Accounting Guidance. Review and approve XBRL tagging for all relevant filings. * Maintain appropriate supporting documentation for earnings press releases, earnings call scripts, all financial SEC filings and proxy statements, including preparation of detailed tie outs. * Prepare the accounting for equity compensation plans and the reconciliation of shares outstanding with the transfer agent. Prepare certain footnote disclosures for quarterly and annual SEC filings. * Prepare relevant journal entries as assigned on a monthly basis. Prepare monthly journal entries and quarterly financial statements for holding company. * Assist in the preparation of the quarterly debt compliance package to ensure compliance. * Prepare monthly internal park consolidating financial statements for distribution to senior executive leadership on a monthly basis. * Prepare monthly sales and use tax return filings * Assist with data gathering for tax compliance and reporting * Assist with tax payment requests and correspondence with taxing authorities * Coordinate with Form 5500 filing and 401K financial statement preparation. * Assist audit and SOX requests for relevant areas of accounting. * Assist corporate accounting team with workload and review relevant areas during close (may include preparing journal entries and reconciliations). VIEW JOBS Position Summary Lead Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis Lead Financial Analyst This position is part of the FP&A team in Enabling Areas (EA) and will be part of the Consulting Acquisitions & Global JV Finance Team. The Lead Analyst will primarily be aligned to the support the Financial aspects and modelling related to the various businesses within Consulting but will also have opportunities to support and be engaged in analysis and projects across Consulting Finance as needed. Enabling Areas (EA) at the U.S. offices are the support arm of the organization and comprise several groups including Talent, Technology, Finance, Communications, Field Operations, etc. EA gives every client-service business unit access to the best and brightest resources when it comes to support services. More specifically, EA enables the business units to solely focus on satisfying clients and developing new products and services to sustain competitive advantage, while they consolidate and standardize a diverse collection of systems, processes, and functions. Work you will do This role focuses on the Consulting Acquisitions and Global JV Finance team that include new acquisitions within Consulting and existing Joint Ventures. The Team within Consulting continues to help drive adoption of consistent financial support and partner with Consulting Corporate Development, M&A Finance, Acquisition Sponsor Leaders, Consulting Global Office and other groups to provide the reports and insights our leaders need to run these unique businesses in alignment with the guidance established by Deloitte Finance.
