The Sr. FP&A Analyst is responsible for working with senior leadership to forecast resource requirements and performing and publishing analysis that provides the foundation for management decisions. As a key player of the team, you will create innovative outcomes and provide analytical insights to the business.


Forecasting and Financial Modeling

  • Maintaining department-level expenses and other schedules for a 12-month rolling forecast

  • Consolidated headcount management

  • Proposing solutions and performing trend and variance analysis supporting recommendations

Planning and Budget

Supporting the budgeting and corporate planning process through collaboration between the business, accounting, and the FP&A team

  • Preparation of budget materials

  • Decision support of business leaders in communicating actuals results

  • Analysis and negotiation of budget candidates proposed

  • G/L Level Budgeting

Financial Management and Analysis

Responsible for supporting the overall analytical needs of the company which include:

  • Internal and/or external financial forecast reporting

  • Regular publication and maintenance of BvA, FvA & Analytics Corpus

  • Analysis of monthly or quarterly variances and historical trends of financial and operational stats [quarter-over-quarter (Q/Q) and year-over-year (Y/Y) analysis]

  • Support business decisions including, but not limited to: analysis of sales data, providing business insights into current performance, deal analysis testing for margin impact, assisting in preparing materials for Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews and various stakeholder meetings

Ad Hoc Analysis

  • Customer Win/Loss Analysis

  • Pricing and Margin Analysis

  • Synthesis of operational and financial data (rate & volume)

  • Business and/or pricing scenario + sensitivity analysis

  • Customer Cohort Analysis

  • Data mining and historical analysis


Maintain relationships within the organization in support of the above responsibilities


  • 2-3 years in a finance, accounting, or business analyst role

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

  • Knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and US GAAP

  • Excellent command of Excel

  • Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce and/or similar systems

  • Ability to independently identify, analyze, and solve problems

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and changing environment

  • Ability to work under internally and externally imposed deadlines

  • Collaborative style of work and experience collaborating between various organizations with teams of varying sizes to achieve common goals

Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of assigned projects with a specific focus on HCS Growth & Expansion, Technical and Infrastructure projects, ensuring consistency with program strategy, commitments and goals. Projects will include, but may not be limited to the following: construction of net new, relocations, expansions and renovations of Ambulatory Clinics, Hospitals and Inpatient Care Areas. Projects may also include: large scale network implementations and upgrades, data center implementations, infrastructure remediation, info security, end user support and a variety of operating system level projects. Description of Project Management Duties: 1.Develops and manages the project scope and objectives, high-level timeline, and cost estimate with the project sponsor and other key stakeholders and establishes the overall project management approach. In addition, develops and manages the consolidated project plan including detailed schedule (with critical path), cost estimate, roles/responsibilities, communications, and risks. 2.Acquires the necessary resources in partnership with resource owners to fulfill the planned project roles/responsibilities and activities. Manages all internal and external project resources to ensure that project scope is delivered on time, on schedule, within the approved project budget, and with a high degree of quality. 3.Engages the project team continuously and periodically reports project status to all key project stakeholders as well as IT Management. 4.Closes the project by ensuring all scoped deliverables are accepted, project documentation is stored, and project resources are released. 5.Provides project management mentoring, coaching, and support to less experienced team members as well as all health system employees and contractors as necessary or appropriate. 6. Assists IT Planning management in the development and implementation of agile adaptations of existing project management processes. Highly Desired Skills: 1) 5 or more years of construction and technical & infrastructure Project Management experience. 2) Ability to travel locally to construction sites or current healthcare locations in the State of NC.
