Temp/Contractor Sr. Financial Analyst, Geospatial Division

The Temp/Contractor Sr. Financial Analyst position will report to the Finance Manager and support the Controller of the Geospatial Sector of Trimble Inc. By integrating sensors, field applications, real-time communications, field and back-office processing, modeling, and analytics, Trimble Geospatial solutions facilitate a high quality, productive workflow and data exchange to drive efficiency, productivity, safety and value in organizations of all sizes.

The Trimble Geospatial finance team is responsible for all of the FP&A and divisional accounting with support from central finance and accounting groups.

Primary Duties

  • Financial Planning, analysis & forecasting.

  • Manage and own specific portions of P&L analysis and forecasting.

  • Facilitate cross-functional coordination of budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

  • Analyze COGS, pricing, product/category margin, product mix, or other key business drivers.

  • Assist in preparation of monthly/quarterly business review presentations with Senior Management including variance analysis, KPI calculations, and communications with various teams.

  • Engage with Senior Management to develop key reporting for managing the business.

  • Investigate system report issues, working with various data teams to resolve.

  • Assist with integration, and implementation of account level P&L data into new forecasting system.

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with a high level of analytical skills

  • MBA/CPA a plus, along with 5+ years professional Finance & Accounting experience

  • Experience with ERP systems, specifically Oracle R12, Cognos and Hyperion or similar is desired

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel required

  • Demonstrated experience in a SOX environment

  • Passion for understanding the business and ability to articulate financial results that lead to action

  • Detail oriented, self-starter, proactive, independent thinker with strong verbal and written communication skills preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to work through ambiguous assignments and adapt easily to a fast-paced, changing environment

  • Experience with new system integrations.
