Sr. Financial Analyst

PRIMARY PURPOSE: To provide financial and technical support to Operations and Managed Care managers; to gather and consolidate financial data in the budget/forecast process; to forecast financial impact of open positions and related temporary costs; to act as GAAP technical advisor to management; to conduct financial analysis projects; and to provide support to upper management.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides financial oversight and support on financial projects.

  • Provides financial and technical support to Operations and Managed Care managers.

  • Gathers and consolidates financial data during the budget/forecast process.

  • Forecasts financial impact of open Operations and Managed Care positions and related temporary costs.

  • Communicates issues, project status, and other applicable information to Finance upper management.

  • Acts as GAAP technical advisor to management.

  • Maintains a thorough understanding of current and new Finance programs, controls, operations, and initiatives; makes recommendations for enhancements and improvements.

  • Assists in the evaluation of existing policies and procedures.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Supports the organization's quality program(s).

  • Travels as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Licensing

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.

Experience

Eight (8) years of accounting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Thorough knowledge of USA accounting principles, procedures and relevant regulations

  • Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills

  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products

  • Leadership/management/motivational skills

  • Analytical and interpretive skills

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Good judgment and discretion skills

  • Ability to plan, monitor, track and problem solve

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and set priorities

WORK ENVIRONMENT
