This Senior Financial Analyst position with one of our clients is an exciting long term temporary opportunity. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania will be the home base of this Senior Financial Analyst. If you can be our client's primary point of contact for all financial issues, including project spending, planning, forecasting and annual budgeting, you might be a good fit for this role. The ideal candidate for this Senior Financial Analyst consultant position can perform analysis of the operating results and financial performance of core business segments supporting public reporting requirements, and provide decision-making support for future company investments. Key responsibilities

  • Provide management reporting, accounting and compliance guidance, and ensure alignment of operational initiatives by working closely with the Functional leads

  • Assess and execute financial analysis in order to optimize business performance

  • Evaluate financial results, summarize key issues, and articulate integral messages to senior management in order to drive existing management reporting

  • Help create sustainable business, operational, and financial processes to be understood by all necessary teams

  • Cultivate dynamic relationships with Finance/Accounting leadership of key business partners

  • Execute monthly and quarterly reporting to senior management by analyzing financial results, synthesizing/distilling key trends, assessing future and current business risks, and articulating critical updates

  • Execute improved management reporting by working with Operations and Accounting to more discreetly and accurately track financial results

  • Provide dynamic support for all ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests

Requirements

  • Able to work across teams and gain consensus of a group of individuals

  • CPA or MBA preferred

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Familiarity in office systems, reporting software, databases and other BI tools recommended

  • Demonstrated understanding of Microsoft PowerPoint

  • Skilled at process reengineering and optimization

  • Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired

  • Compelling strategy mindset and a track record of interacting successfully with management

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Necessary education includes a BA/BS degree in Finance, Business, or a related field

Responsibilities: * Develops and maintains financial and analytical models to analyze business performance and support decision making related to product offerings, pricing, staffing, and store execution. * Evaluates the financial impact of strategic business options. * Reviews monthly financial operating results, identifying key trends, variances, and areas of improved performance. * Performs ad hoc analysis and forecasts. * Provides management with accurate cost and revenue information as requested. Skills and Abilities: * Strong analytical and financial modeling skills. * Ability to manage multiple tasks, ensuring financial accuracy while meeting deadlines. * Strong desire to take ownership of projects and the results. * Ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization and a desire to actively contribute to the overall success of the company. Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting * 3 years or more of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis with an emphasis on Data Mining & Analysis * Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
